This was like the gift of the year although it wasn't really a gift haha it was left on our doorstep from Santa... And my daughter was thrilled the elf was adorable we happened to get a girl I don't know if you get to choose that or not my husband ordered it so I doubt he meant to do that haha... but she is so in love with this elf it's a bit torturous that they can't touch it so I'm thinking of changing the rules but either way she did panic one time cuz she did touch her I had to come up with something so she didn't have the guilt eat at her for the rest of her life oh Lordy whoever came up with that story sure did torture the kids with it hahaha but at the same time I understand it because it teaches them a little bit about responsibility in a way. Anyway that's hard to do this for the kids they do get a kick out of it you just got to remember to move that thing every night haha my husband stepped in a few nights cuz I did fall asleep.. oops... but every morning she was so eager to look for that elf so that has been a joy I wish we would have gotten it sooner. She's six so we probably have only a couple more years if we're lucky so if you can get one for them when they're small I would say do it it's a fun little thing for them to look forward to and it also helps keep them in line because you know the elf does report to Santa any bad behavior. Yeah the story is pretty heavy haha

Started this tradition this year. Looked around for a while and liked that this one came with the cute skirt and scarf. I also love the box to store elf in all year and the book. I do wish they had more options with features. My daughter is light skinned with brown eyes but all I could find was blue eyes in her skin tone. That’s ok though. My daughter named her Happy:) Looking forward to many years with our new holiday edition.

Some people like elf on the shelf, others are vehemently against everything they think the elf stands for.That aside, it's a lovely story and fun Christmas activity so my family have it a try. My kids are not completely convinced. I have as 7, 5, and 2 year old. My 7 year old is skeptical which influences the 5 year old. My 2 year old is completely oblivious. Not sure when is a good age to introduce this. But as the elf moves from spot to spot, changing positions, they are a little more convinced each day. Now I see why some parents put in so much effort!Everything arrived as expected in excellent quality and condition. But this bundle on Amazon was way overpriced. My recommendation: wait until after Thanksgiving and get your Elf on the Shelf book and elf set and any additional accessories when there are promotions.
