This product gives great tips on "How to" take a test. Our son has already picked up so many and we were just flipping through the guide after receiving it. We feel this product will take some additional pressure off that is absorbed during any major testing. Easy to understand and follow. Thank you so much for such a great tool.

In all honesty, I thoroughly enjoyed this study guide. It was formatted in a manner that was very easy to use/follow along. I appreciated the actual practice tests because it gave me an idea of what to expect when I do in fact take the test. Also, I did like the fact that certain portions of the test gave an explanation as to why this answer is correct. With that being said, this was the first study material of any kind that I purchased in order to study for my test. So I did not have anything else to compare it to. It still was very helpful and it did meet my expectations.

I have taken a bunch of civil service exams and I have not done well. The reading comprehension kills me. This book seams to help. Can you please send me your free study skills DVD. Yes there were some "tips" that would help when taking any test. However, this did not really prepare me for the actual test of 50 questions to be answered in 12 minutes. Not sure if this is the typical test for Municipals and therefore this book did not help any more than the ones I got from the library. I was hoping for an extra "edge" with the purchase of this study book. I was prepared for a timed test with multiple choice answers. I did not get this type of test from the City. I had to write out most of my answers so there was no "guessing" by process of elimination. I'd recommend visiting your local library first.

I liked the ease of understanding the test taking tips. I am sure this will be useful in scoring a good score on the exam.

Good book; could use more samples but very helpful overall

Good examples but way too much negativity. Comments and sections about test anxiety are unwanted. Haven’t these authors ever read about sports psychology? Don’t even mention nervousness, etc.

I took a California Civil Service exam and I did not study because people were saying it was simple math. It turned out to more than simple math. I did not pass listening to this invalid information and know I have a wait a year to take the exam again.
