The Puppy Place #24: Bandit (24)

The Puppy Place series of books is my son's (9year old) favorite series of books. He is reading the entire series this year for monthly book reports. The stories are very cute, easy to read, and based on of course, cute puppies. You can't judge a book by it's cover (they say) but in this case...you can as of course, young ones do look for cute covers and this is a great match. I highly recommend this series for both boys and girls as it is not gender specific and great for all those puppy lovers!

My 10-year-old 5th grader, reading at about a 7th-grade level now, *still* loves these books, even though they are more for a 2nd-grade reading and comprehension level. She still finds the stories extremely sweet, little harmless fantasies about how problems can get solved, and puppies' cuteness can be truly appreciated. Reads each one in about 20 minutes now.... We must have at least twenty of these books. I appreciate that it gives her something to read that is not plunging her into material unnecessarily "mature" for her (like Twilight, for example), just because she has a high reading level.

Omg I love this story Bandit! I love the way the author describes him and I feel that the message of this story is that don't judge a book by its cover. I think this because uncle teo is such a big man and he owns bandit which is a little doggy! I love this

My dad bought this book for me on my kindle fire HD. I think that it was the best book from The Puppy Place books. Because it is very exciting and kids like me will love it.I am a girl and I am 9 years old.

This story line is wonderful! It makes the reader eager to read each page ! I am impressed by the authors ability to use real life information as it allows the reader to make connections!

Everyone who sees this beautiful puppy falls in love with him. But poor Bandit has to have a heart operation. Will Maria's uncle help get Bandit to his operation and possibly adopt him?
