Do these alter skin colour?

Does not affect skin colour. Only use them before and after holiday as it seems to prevent prickly heat so not used for prolonged periods.

What are the health benefits?

I have bought this supplement before going on holiday. I believe it helps to keep my skin healthy or at least in better condition after sun exposure. Also I think my tan stays on for longer and i do get nice bronze colouring. I usually start taking these 2 weeks before going away.

It says 47 mg of carotenoids, but the ones specified only add up to 7.5 mg. What are the other 40 mg?

try contacting solgar they are very helpful. Are you sure it is 47 in milligrams or another measurement equal to 7.5mg?
