Toca T-2531 Jingle Bells

People that said that this instrument was heavy were not kidding. I'm going to keep this one, but to tell you the truth, I would have ordered one with less bells had I to do it over. It reminds me of something you could use in a band when you need some volume. It has a wonderful, clear, crisp bell sound that I love. I can hold the bells side ways and it works perfectly for wrist comfort. I'm keeping these, and I do love them....I only mention the weight as a caution. Perhaps you would want to consider the same instrument but with say 2 strips of bells. It absolutely depends on how you you plan to use them. You would want these if you plan to use them for a choir performance or to go caroling.

I ordered these to use as Santa's reindeer bells, and they look like they'll be perfect. Yes, they're very heavy in your hand, but they're also solidly made, with a lovely sound and a nicely loud jingle --- I think it's fair to say that Santa will be getting years of use out of these bells!Because of their weight, I would not recommend them to anyone who needs bells they'll be ringing for extended periods of time (say while doing collections at Salvation Army kettle); but I suspect you'll find that to be true with most bells of this style. For those of us who'll be jingling them for shorter periods, these are perfect.

As a bell ringer for THE Salvation Army...I try to switch up bells every chance I can... This bell gives your wrist a little more exercise than the other bells i use while giving the maximum tones...I was told that you can hear this one all the way to the bus stop...and I've been breaking this in slowly to become my go to bell for the next kettle season...

the sound was too smooth with this many bells. Should have bought the one with half the bells. I ended up breaking off half of them and it sounds perfect.

This might be the nicest thing we own...heavy...high quality...and AUTHENTIC, large sleigh bells like you'd see on a real horse-drawn sleigh ride.My 2nd attempt at jingle bells and these are the real deal. Maybe too big, too much, and too loud for a mellow, acoustic sing-along...but really authentic, beautiful sound.

She volunteers for the Salvation Army every year ringing the bells to help gather donations. I thought these sleigh bells would have a more Christmas sound over the small bell they usually use. My wife reported there was a difference using these bells. She would even get kids coming up wanting to ring them also, and parents would give a little for her letting them. Her collections increased.

Feels good in your hand, nice weight and balance. Perhaps just a little heavy for my taste but really, it is fine. Only complaint is I think the jingles rattle a bit much after you stop playing. That concerns me and will know better if it really is a problem when I get to use them in a concert setting.
