Start it and forget it!
This high volume battery charger is easy and terrific to use! It holds a large amount (see ad), easily applied( nubs to the inside). Convenient Red and green lights keep you apprised of the charging process. Ive run two full loads and Im very happy with it's function. It also serves as a battery tester..

Works perfectly. Very happy with this.
Got this to replace an older one by a difference manufacturer. This one works much better - the batteries don't pop out and the ports haven't shorted out.

Fast, Smart, and Efficient Charging – A Battery Charger Game-Changer!
I recently upgraded to this 16 Bay AA AAA Battery Charger, and it has truly transformed my rechargeable battery experience. The high-speed charging capability ensures that my batteries are ready to go in no time, providing convenience and eliminating the need for multiple chargers. The smart LED light indicators are a brilliant addition, offering a clear visual on the charging status of each battery. It's a small detail that makes a big difference, especially when you have a bunch of batteries charging simultaneously. The intuitive design of the charger also prevents overcharging, extending the lifespan of my batteries. The inclusion of both AA and AAA battery slots is incredibly practical, accommodating all my devices' power needs. The updated features make it a standout choice, and the plug design simplifies the charging process, making it versatile for home or travel use. Investing in this battery charger has not only saved me money on disposable batteries but also contributed to reducing environmental waste. It's a win-win situation, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. If you're in the market for a reliable, high-speed charger with smart features, look no further – this one's a winner!

A good option that provides safe charging and versatility but slooow charging.
I just bought this at Christmas for the entire household to charge 24 NiMh AA's and 24 AAA's. I got tired of reaching for alkaline replacement batteries only to find out we'd run out. Then I'd go to a local retailer and spend more than $1 apiece for name brand disposable AA's or AAA's. So, I'm switching over to NiMh rechargeables wherever I can. What I like about this is the simplicity. I can charge up to 16 AA or AAA batteries at a time in any mix. But I suspect that other than charging them all initially, that will almost never happen as the batteries will never all deplete at the same time. They will run out of energy based on the application and the usage and there will probably never be more than 4 to 6 batteries charging at one time. Maybe a once a year recharge for all the batteries that have been sitting unused for months. What I like..... 1.) Gets 16 batteries up and running at a time. 2.) No need to charge in pairs. 16 separate charging circuits. Charge even or odd numbers of batteries. Charge AA's and AAA's at the same time in any mix. 3.) Thermal and overcurrent protection for batteries along with short circuit protection. 4.) Current automatically reduced to trickle charge when full to preserve battery capacity. 5.) Multi stage charging. Pre charge test. Max charging. Float charge. Trickle Charge. All automatic. 6.) "Repair". If a battery has been discharged to a low voltage the charger can recover the battery. 7.) Simple to use. Plug in a battery. Red light = charging. Green light = fully charged. 8.) The provisions for convection cooling seem good, even with all 16 slots in use. The charger never gets more than slightly warm to the touch. That's in part due to the low 200 ma charging current. What I don't like..... 1.) Charging speed is slow. AA's limited to one current, 200 ma. AAA's limited to 150 ma. Other chargers will allow a range of charging like 300, 500, 800, or 1,000 ma. That will reduce charging times significantly. It can also reduce battery capacity and overall battery life. It's a double edged sword. 2.) There is no readout for battery capacity or voltage. So you won't be able to tell if or when a battery is reaching the end of its useful life. I may buy a separate tester for that. I don't expect it to be a problem with 48 new top brand NiMh batteries for at least a few years. So this is a basic charger that covers all the important safety and convenience issues and can handle a large number of batteries at once. But it has a very low, one speed charge. So long wait times, but very gentle charging of batteries. Not a problem for me. I bought enough batteries that I can grab a fresh set and toss the depleted ones in the charger for 12 hours. I don't need them charged in 2 hours. So if you're the OCD type who stresses out of the capacity of every battery every time you charge it or, you're the impatient type who needs your batteries charged as fast as possible, this no frills charger may not be for you. But I just want the easiest simplest solution with the least effort from me. I don't want to damage the batteries I own. And I'm not looking to start any house fires. I'm willing to buy more batteries to make sure I'm never caught in a situation where I run out of usable batteries. This charger is fine for me.

Nice Charger
One of the reasons I purchased this charger (I now have two of them) is because of the fairly low charging rate. The charging rate for AA batteries is 200mA and for AAA batteries is 150 MA. I don't mind leaving the batteries to charge over night instead of quick charging them in an hour or two. Quick charging generally causes the batteries to get quite warm and shortens battery life (the number of re-charges it will take). That comes from my experience as well as technical info. from battery experts. This charger causes the batteries to only get very very slightly warm. The batteries fit in the slots nice and snug and the LED for each slot changing from red to green when it's complete is all you really need unless you're bent on having a fancy LCD display. It uses a 120V power cord which plugs directly into your wall outlet with no AC adapter. I did find that, if you charge 16 AA batteries at once, the center section of the unit gets quite warm. So, for the price, if you're concerned about the warmth of the charger, and if your interested in charging that many batteries at once, you can always purchase two and charge less than the full 16 at a time in each charger. To be honest, I wouldn't say it gets excessively warm so that is a fairly minor detail. All in all, I can't see any reason not to give this charger 5 stars.

Simple, obvious, reliable and easy to use for two (2) different battery sizes
As the battery toys start stacking up in the house with a toddler, the battery costs skyrocket! So, re-chargeables are your friend, and this set (and the variety of battery sizes that go with them) was an obvious investment choice, and they work great. A good rotation of the batteries and the toys make keeping those things going, without the cost of buying batteries monthly... things are expensive enough nowadays!

Nice combo
Identifies bad batteries. Also, you can mix AAA & AA batteries while charging. Nice product.

I can now sort my batteries safely. If it blinks red, your batteries are on their way out. Don't have ditch pairs or more. Each battery charges in it's out slot. No more looking for a match before charging. Get two then relax knowing that the smart charging is taking of everything. Not very rapid but not a 16 hour charge either.

It takes about 8-10 hours to charge the batteries. I like it because I have over 120 batteries to charge. It rakes me a while to charge all ( I have a few of 4 alao) but it's a good option.

We have a lot of rechargeable batteries for our Xmas decorations. Our old charger could only charge four batteries at a time. It's nce to have a charger that can do lots of batteries at a time. It works great and I'm sure that it charges them better than our old charger. I'm very pleased with it.
