Looks nice on my mantel. For me, it requires winding every 5 days, so I've gotten in the habit of trying to remember winding twice a week. The pendulum is disappointing. The pendulum has nothing to do with the clock, it is entirely separate, runs on a battery, and is made of plastic. So the pendulum adds a "look", not a function. Not what I expected. Doesn't match the "richness" of the clock, itself.

The quality is superb! We were leery about ordering such an expensive item unseen, but it was apparent when it arrived that we made the right choice. It keeps perfect time and the chimes are “solid” sounding without being overly loud.

We made sure to purchase as a new product but, we received a clock already returned by someone else in November 2020. It was missing the key and the pendulum which rendered the clock inoperable. Very disappointed. It was an expensive item to be sent in such a hap-hazard way.

Exceptionally well crafted mantle clock. If you want the very best of the Howard Miller collection, this is one of only two choices you should consider. The other is Model 613-559 Webster. I have both. Magnificent!
