Almay Intense i-Color Volumizing Mascara, Sapphire

I don’t usually write reviews but I depend on them, so thought I should start.Usually love Almay products and was excited to find the sapphire mascara, though it was priced much higher than usual. Aside from the price, I was hugely disappointed when I opened and used for the first time. It seemed a lot like the ‘last of the mascara’ instead of a brand new one! It was very dry and a struggle to get enough on the wand and onto my lashes.I would have given it 1 star except I used/enjoyed what I could scrape out of the well.

I love this mascara - it makes my eyes look incredible. Now that I've found it, I'll never go back to plain black.I purchased the one for green eyes, and at a glance I thought it was just brown. But when I spread some on a tissue, I saw that there are little shimmery flakes of purple and green in it. That's how it makes your eyes look greener - both green and purple will enhance green eyes. The shimmer is VERY subtle, which is nice because my husband is very anti-glitter. It's almost more of a shine than a sparkle. And the brown base is nice, because it looks natural. This mascara really just makes me look like I have naturally beautiful eyes (rather than looking like I'm wearing mascara).I also bought the one for blue eyes, and that one has blue sparkles and is a lot more shimmery/sparkly than the one for green eyes. I ended up giving it to my mom because she has blue eyes, and it looked really good on her. :)

Loved this mascara from the get go, and used it for several years until. . .it became more and more difficult to find, and what was available became too expensive ( what was once about $8 had become $17 or more!!!). 'Still like Alamay's quality and product line though , but I have had to find another brand of mascara since the black plum is so hard to find any more. . .

I really like this product! It arrived on time, no damage to the packaging, and the midnight plum is a nice subtle color. I do wish it went on more thickly. It applies thinly and not super darkly. However, it has a ton of lengthening power! If you're looking for long lashes, this is a great product. Even after I accidentally rubbed my eye, It didn't leave a smear on my finger, just a bit of glitter. Seems to hold up well!

These make my eyes stand out like never before!!! I have not noticed any color enhancement which was a bit disappointing, but it definitely makes up for that with the massive length it gives me.I have tried that $30 fiber lash set (total garbage BTW), and this product blows that out of the water! It does not flake off on me, nor does it bleed the way that great lash stuff does. Prior to this mascara, I was contemplating getting eyelash extensions and now I have decided to hold off. It washes off easily too which is valuable to me because I don't like pulling, tugging, and scrubbing on my eye area.

This mascara works as you’d expect and doesn’t end up under my eyes. The only thing is it has a small amount of shimmer. I can’t see the shimmer on my lashes, but it gets on my contact lenses and is uncomfortable. Also, if I’m not thorough when I take the mascara off, I have glittery eyes the next day.

I have tried so many mascaras and my routine usually involves three different kinds to get the look I want. I keep coming back to this product after trying the expensive ones from Marc Jacobs to high end Sephora brands. I really like how it comes in brown which is actually a better look for my skin tone than black.... most are all black. It's rare to find brown and it's a really nice color, nice application, doesn't cake or run or flake.

This is a great, subtle color. I'm blond with fair skin. I prefer a more natural look with my makeup. I don't use the wand it comes with because the mascara applies all clumpy. I use disposable wands. Though there is a little glitter in it, it's not very noticeable.

This is ok but I thought expspensive for what got ! Didn't like the application brush much !

So good that even my daughter commented how good my lashes looked and had to order her one!
