Excellent quality edging - plastic pegs broke
The edging is beautiful. The plastic pegs were not adequate. The first one seemed wonderful until the last hammer hit it and the top popped off. I ended up purchasing some rebar with a hook type end and a very sharp pointed end to hold it in place. I ordered 40 of them for a very reasonable price on Amazon. I painted them with Rustoleom rubbed oil outdoor spray paint to match the edging. The rebar will make sure if a tractor happens to run over it, that it stays in place. I ran a string and ended up using a 2x4 up against it to easily run a very straight line. The installation went fast. (I did not need to cut). The flower bed edges up between my lawn and driveway. I get several feet of snow and the tractor needs to stack it. I purchased this edging due to the fact that it should hold up to the tractor running over it, in case it happens. Metal edging will bend and most plastic edging is brittle in winter and will break, wood stick type may break as well. I did not want to use RR Ties or logs. This is my dream answer. Do it once, it should last my lifetime. After receiving the edging I am very confident that it will hold up to a tractor running over it. It does not sacrifice sturdiness for aesthetics. It looks very nice.

This is the way to go.....
I really like the look of this edging when it's installed, and expect it to be durable. Fairly easy to install, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind if you elect to use this: 1) It's easy to install (even for a 70 year old like me), but looks a lot better and has fewer joint gaps if you level the ground. 2) Be sure you have some 3/16" dowel stock on hand...the plastic pins used to join the sections break easily, and there are no extra pins provided. You can cut the dowel to 2 & 7/8" to make a replacement pin. 3) You may encounter sections where you need to drill the joining pin hole a little deeper; easy to do with an 11/64 drill bit set to drill in about 1 & 3/4" deep. 4) If a joining pin has broken, use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull the broken pin....I had two break so far and they are a pain to pull out without needle nose pliers 5) As other reviews have stated, make sure you purchase some extra spikes...these also break easily when installing. I bought metal spikes for replacements and also to add to curves and joints where extra holding was needed. 6) If you have to use a hammer, do it gently. When driving the spikes, I recommend using a block of wood on the spike head rather than hitting the spike directly with the hammer....it'll save you several broken plastic spikes. It takes my wife and me around an hour to an hour and a half to install 6 of the 4 ft. sections. (We're doing around 180 feet of border.) The only digging needed was to remove small sections of grass and to level places where needed. We put all 6 sections together in the place we would install them WITHOUT spiking the sections and were then able to tell where leveling was required. Once the levelling was completed, we installed the spikes. I recommend this product.

Excellent Product Need More Stars
This product was installed by 2 senior citizens. We allowed 3 days to install 3 sets of this border. We installed it in about 7 hours. It was really simple and went together great. I did the research on the product and my husband did lots of research on the install. The 2 things he found out were to use a drill for the holes for the connectors to make it easier to insert the connectors into the edging and a rubber mallet and screw driver to to open up the holes for the spikes. The edging material is high quality and well made. We looked at different brands at a big box hardware store and there was no comparison. The connectors in the other brand were about 4" long, flexible and would bend when trying to insert them into the edging. Also there is no comparison between the quality of the edging material to the other brand. We did have a problem with one of the boxes being broken in shipping and losing some pegs and connectors in the process but when we messaged them through Amazon they quickly replaced them. It cost more than we had planned to spend but was so well worth it. It looks great and has made it so my husband has less trimming to do when he mowed. If you take your time and do the prep work with the drill and screw driver I can't imagine you not being pleased with the result.

Solid Design, Weak Spikes — Easy Fix with Galvanized Ties
Easy to work with and install, but the included plastic spikes are fragile if there are rocks or other obstructions beneath the surface they’ll snap and lose grip quickly. I found it works best to replace them with 5"–10" galvanized garden tie spikes. A few firm taps with a 4 lb sledge drives them through small rocks or concrete edges near driveways without issue. Once secured this way, the product stays firmly in place and performs well.

Landscape changing product
I love these things! So far this year I have purchased 11 of the 6-pk boxes to replace all the plastic landscape edging that I initially installed last year. The plastic bent and warped with the sun and changing of temperature and they just looked like a wavy wreck. These are solid, durable, actually hold all the mulch in the area it should be in and they are easy to link together (yes, just dip the connecting pieces into a little bit of dish soap + water and they slide right in to the connecting holes. I do not recommend using dish soap alone, as it's just a gooey mess. Just a few required a simple, light tap with a lightweight mallet). Cutting them can be a challenge (holding them steady) to master but once you figure it out it goes smoothly. (Tip - use a new SHARP hacksaw or tenon saw, start slowly and make full blade length passes) The channel makes it easy to pass by with the lawn mower and I can edge right against them with the weed trimmer with zero damage. I'm already looking at what other landscaping needs I can use them.

Good quality
If you were looking for an alternative to high priced long edging this is definitely one to look at. The project I had did not need to be cut so I can’t talk about that. It is high enough that mulch stays put except if you have a downpour or wind. I bought the brown and I really do like it. These steaks were easy to insert. I plan to purchase more.

Mulch Protection
I use rubber mulch around several trees in our yard. It is relatively expensive as compared to wood mulch, but it lasts much longer. We live in Florida and so the rubber mulch is bug resistant. We have lawn service in our neighborhood. The person operating the weed whacker would scatter the mulch over the yard. This product po a stop to it. This product looks fine. It is not the same as the concrete border, but it is easy to install and works great. It also cut down on my mulch cost..
