With spring progressing, the moles in our new yard have become increasingly active. Friends and family had great success with sonic repelling devices, so I thought I'd give it a try. Order these, waited extra time for delivery, only to open up the package and find BOTH incredibly scratched up on the top...clearly used! And of all places to be scratched, it was over the solar cells. Returned for a replacement, and now I have to wait nearly 2 weeks for the replacement to come? In short: don't bother, go with a bigger name even if it's a bit more expensive.

It is clear what the manufacturer did here. If you look down through the supposed 5 star reviews of verified purchases, they are all very short, sweet, and similar. It's clear this is a case were the reviewer were paid to place these reviews. Then if you get down onto page 3 of the reviews you find they are all for a completely different products - e.g. pill boxes and bird feeder. So the latter issue is an Amazon issue. I reported this to an Amazon supervisor who agreed and said she was writing up a ticket, but obviously our typically super responsive Amazon has just dropped the ball here - and in fact if you look at other Amazon product offerings for other sonic spikes of different brands, on many of them you encounter the same problem - wrong product being reviews. The Molemax reviews, however appear to be clean. But my take is that really none of these spikes work - although to cover my bets I am going to purchase two of the Molemax spikes since at least these are made by Bonide, a U.S. company. But these XMStore units are awful. They come in a box with no instructions, and a on/off switch that looks and feels like it was designed by a kid. Stay away - absolutely. Why Amazon hasn't killed this offering is a surprise.

Came in a package of 2 , 1 stopped working less than three months after putting it outside in the ground, they didn't do anything for me for the moles I still have issues with them, these don't work they're not what they say they do , don't waste your money

I ordered two of these solar mole chasers. Unfortunately, the first one doesn't seem to be working at all (even after it charged for two days before turning it on as per the instructions). The second one is working, but over night it shuts off again and you have to go out to turn it back on again. That's completely useless! This should stay "on" all the time! And the quality is pretty bad too. You have to push the thing into the ground and it feels like it's going to crack and break after just a couple of inches of soft dirt. And I even "pre-dug" the hole. I would definitely NOT recommend this product.

After only 5 day one is beeping and one is not - I assume that means only one is working??How well will the plastic hold up in the hot sun and freezing temperatures.

these stopped working just over a month after I received them, too late to return for a refund.
