My old bread bin served faithfully for decades, but having lost it’s handle and rusting a bit at the edges, the final straw was our recent mice invasion and the fact that the little holes on the back of the bin were plenty big enough for the little #@*%@# to get in. My husband was sentimentally attached to the old bread bin (the big softy❤️), but even he acknowledged that it was time for a new one. He may be tender hearted but I’m indecisive—still the decision had to made and I chose to order this one because I loved the lettering and the fact that companion pieces are available. The quick response to my question by the company was a selling point too. The bin arrived and we are delighted with it. The workmanship is excellent with attention to details like the black rim at the top of the container, and the lid sits evenly with no gap but lifts right off. Right now, it is holding two bags of thin bagels and a loaf of bread. And it makes me happy when I look at it. And it’s a good thing it is so well made—my husband is already forming an attachment to it 😉

I purchased this bread box a couple of years ago - purely because it was cute and would look nice in my kitchen. It does, of course (I mean, come on - this thing is cute!), but didn’t have high hopes for the intended use of it - that it would keep bread items from going stale. Holy cow - sincerely - I think this thing is magic (it keeps bread fresh longer than makes sense). There are only two of us in my home, so we don’t go through loaves of bread as fast as we used to when both children still lived at home. Our bread now lasts months. Not even kidding. I have two loaves of bread in there and a thing of English muffins (it’s such a great size!), and not to sound completely gross, but I purchased them in February (it’s now the beginning of May)! They are still soft, fresh, smell delicious; if I didn’t know when I bought them, I’d swear I got them last week. So while I don’t recommend storing baked goods for months on end, you could if you wanted to with this thing. It is really incredible!

I looked at a lot of bread boxes and read a lot of reviews before I bought this bread box, and I definitely made the right choice! It is beautiful and functional. The lid fits perfectly but isn’t air tight, which you don’t want if you are storing bread. It is easily large enough to fit 2 loaves of bread with some room left over. I make a lot of artisan bread, and this bread box will be perfect for the larger loaves. I like that the box is tall and not too wide, which makes more space on my counter. You can’t go wrong with this bread box.

It’s perfect! I love it! Probably one of my favorite purchases on Amazon. It’s everything I was looking for and did not disappoint. Just as described and arrived in excellent condition. I love that it’s large. I was looking for something that would fit more than just a loaf of bread. I currently have a loaf in there along with hot dog buns and English muffins. I highly recommend!

I bought this bread box because I have a rescued former alley cat who loves to steal loaves of bread and eat holes in them. I needed something to keep my loaves safe while keeping them away from her paws and this fits the bill. It’s basically a heavy duty tin. It’s pretty large and feels sturdy. It holds two standard loaves of bread with room to spare for a package of bagels or buns. It also neatens up my counter a lot. The lid isn’t a super snug fit but so far it’s done a good enough job keeping the cat out. And the vintage style goes with my other kitchen accessories.

After adopting a new cat who decided eating through the plastic bread bag and enjoying some bread was a good idea, it was necessary to purchase a bread box to hide the bread. This bread box has worked perfectly. The extra large capacity conveniently holds bread, buns, and tortillas.

I really like the look and the size of this breadbox. I will alert potential purchasers that it is not airtight. The lid sits nicely on the top, but is not airtight.
