if I could give this 10 stars i would. The ONLY downside of this, is that the charging cable does not really fit well back into its little spot that its supposed to be stored, so its always just kind of loose in the case. but beyond that it works well, charge lasts a long time, its super quick to swap bits, and has enough power to remove most screws that arent really locked into place, or drive new holes for screws, but then again thats not what its for. i may buy a second one just in case it ever gets discontinued that way i never need to live without it. It makes assembly and tear down of things so much faster and easier on my hands, making the entire process so much less stressful.

Bought this to replace a set that got lost. Used this type for a couple years - not a high torque driver, but it's not meant to be. Don't use this to install drywall screws, for example. The bit set and case make this an outstanding value, the battery life is great, the unit seems to be high quality. The bit selection alone is almost worth the price by itself these days. Skil seems to be replacing this kit with one that has fewer bits and no hard case or one that has fewer bits and a much worse hard case - I would recommend that you pick this up if you can, especially on sale, before it's gone.

** I am changing my rating... I left the driver on the charger overnight, well past when it indicated that it was fully charged. This morning I tried it, and there was a big difference in the amount of overall torque and performance. This driver had no problem sending a 3 inch deck screw in to a 2x4 all the way in. It also had no problem taking the screw back out, although I did have to give it a little help getting it started out, and then it took over from there. It's a powered screw driver, not a drill driver so don't expect it to have the same power, torque or ability of a drill driver, or impact driver. For small projects this is great. I do want to apologize to SKIL for the initial review, my only complaint now, and be it a minor one, the charged/charging indicator cannot be trusted. Other than that, this is another quality product from SKIL ... good job, guys. Pretty much all of my tools are SKIL, which is why it pains me to not be able to give this a full five stars. On a full charge it failed to back out a screw that with just a little effort I was able to break loose by hand, then it seemed to struggle to get it out of sheet metal. The bits are great, and the live wire locator works great... but to get out a screw that was not stuck, it failed. There is always a chance I just ended up with a bad one, it does happen from time to time. I am going to test it on a few things and see if I am just expecting too much, or the tool is not up to the high standard I have come to expect from SKIL. But for right now, I am not happy.

I bought this mainly to keep in the back of my Corvette to screw in those rubber coated screws used to plug tire holes on the road. Decided to try it while building some metal cabinets. Worked great. Saved my wrist from too many twists that day. The kit is nice and small. The tool works great, the light is also helpful for sure. The torque is ok, fine for most smaller jobs. And where you need more torque to tighten up a screw, the larger handle diameter with rubber grip is great. Better than most screw drivers. Another 10 to 15% torque on the motor would get this tool 5 stars, but truthfully, for the size and what 99% of people would use it for, it's not needed. All in all great to have for the cost.

Holds Charge For Quite Some Time. I Love All The Easy Bits It Comes With As Well For A Wide Variety Of Projects. Got It As A Gift For Christmas Use It Pretty Often. Battery Finally Died On Me Last Week, Took Only A Couple Hours To Charge. After You Auto Screw In The Bolt, just Twist The Screwdriver Like Normal To Tighten The Bolt Down. 10/10 Love This.

Can't beat it for convenience and price

Great little kit for the price. Battery lasts a long time and I like that it doesn't overtighten screws to the point of stripping screw heads. Great for small jobs and putting together inexpensive furniture, especially the ones with the dreaded mini Allen key/ screwdriver!!!!

Holds charge well. Great tip options. Love the case, light and electricity checker. The only thing that bugged me was the smaller tips when removed, they don't always fit snug back into their hole so some pieces are loose in the case.

I have been using this on my job for nearly 12 months and I haven't gone a day where I haven't used it. It's amazing. The screwdriver bits it comes with are of good quality too. I've used the same Phillips head for the entire time I've had it. If I could make two wishes, it would be for a longer battery life or removable rechargeable batteries to swap out and a USB C type charging port instated off the micro port it comes with. I get close to a day out of it on quieter days, but definitely a stretch on busy days. Overall an amazing product and I have been recommending it to everyone. The guys at work borrow it and love it, wanting one soon after. The volt detection on mine has never worked, but I carry a volt stick with me and I didn't buy this for volt detection, so I'm not bothered by it.

La calidad precio creo que es la mejor, yo buscaba un destornillador para armar y desarmar varias computadoras, las puntas principales son largas y con la extensión ya está todo cubierto, la potencia que tiene ciertamente es alta como para darle con todo y apretar tornillos de la computadora, lo que hago es agarrarlo muy ligeramente y cuando llega al fondo el atornillador ya gira en mi mano y lo suelto, no atornilla muy rápido lo cual ayuda al control, en tornillos más finos le doy el último apriete manual con el mismo destornillador, cuando no está en uso se mantiene broqueado entonces se puede usar como uno manual para casos delicados La batería me duro armar como 5 o 6 computadoras y aún mantenía carga, creo para una jornada del día la cubre y sobra, carga muy rápido igualmente Trae todas las puntas que uno necesite el pack con estuche y puntas está súper bien, se los recomiendo El sensor de energía igual sirve muy bien, solo lo probé por curiosidad, necesita relativo alto voltaje para que sirva, voltajes tipo electrónica como 12v nunca los detectaria, los de la instalación de una casa sin broncas
