Is it good for burns?

While I have not used it for burns, I believe that it wouod be great. You see, it is a salve based medication which would save the skin as well as absorb the heat from the burn. I would recommend that you try it. I have used this product for many years as my boys were involved in sports and something was always cut, scraped, or punctured. As well, I have used it for years for all kinds of rashes and the like. I swear by it and keep it handy at all times.

What is function of ointment vs cream Neosporin?

I can only answer from my own experience. However, I find that both the ointment and the cream function equally well as an antiseptic and as an anti-pruritic. I used this with my own children and now with my great-grandchildren. For little one nit works on those little bumps if applied immediately after a kiss. By the way, the ointment lasts long on active little bodies.

Can this be used on lips?

If I remember right, this is for external use only. I know it tastes awful. Using on the edge of the lips should be OK, but I wouldn't apply where it will come into contact with your tongue.
