Very well made great support I didn’t like the way it wrapped as I’m right handed but I found it too wide for my frame unfortunately

This is a good quality support which restricts my umbilical hernia from protruding. It is relatively comfortable when standing and walking but due to its height, it can restrict bending and sitting. You do get used to it but it is initially a bit awkward. Good quality manufacture and strong velcro fastening.

I have a large umbilical hernia and another medical condition which means surgeons don’t want to fix it until they absolutely have to as the operation would be life threatening. Therefore I’ve had to live with the hernia for three and a half years waiting for my medical condition to improve. I have tried many belts that have all proved uncomfortable and struggle to retain the hernia. This one is comfortable and actually works. Very happy to have bought it. It’s a little bulky and if you want to wear skinny fit t shirts then you can notice it. However if you wear something more baggy you can’t see it. At the end of the day you have a hernia, you are not going to win a body beautiful contest. Very good product.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Really comfy, Really good support, nice and stretchy so it's not too tight but the velcro is rubbish ive had this around 2 months and im due a new one

I have an incisional hernia from an abdominal operation scar that is 3 or 4 inches (75-100mm) above the belly button. Because of the nature of the operation, the chances of a successful mesh repair are low so I am dependent on abdominal support. I have tried others but they don't work well enough to prevent the hernia from protruding. This one does. It contains a circular firm pad backed up by a stiffener that will reduce the hernia. It does up with velcro and it's elasticated so you can adjust it for the fit you need. (Don't over-tighten it) It's easiest to put on with help because the pad section has to held in place while the belt is passed around your body to fasten. But you CAN do it on your own: Option 1 is to fix the pad to the velcro strip on the belt, reduce the hernia with your hand and place the pad over it. Now stand with your tummy against a vertical surface like a wall to hold the belt in place to free your hands to pass the belt around you and fasten it. I know.... sounds daft, doesn't it? But it works! Option 2 is for the more supple of us. It uses the same technique as Option 1 to position the pad. But then you need to swing those hips to flip the loose end of the belt behind you so you can grab it with your free hand. Again, it's a bit daft and takes a bit of practice but it works and it will keep the other members of your family entertained - although they could just help you! I haven't marked the product down because of this issue because you can't escape the fact that the belt has to go all the way around you. It's simply common sense. The price is very reasonable and I like it so much that I've ordered another so that I can at least air, if not wash them.

I bought this to hold in a large abdominal hernia just above my belly button. I actually have 3 abdominal hernias. But this one is the biggest and most troublesome. I read a bazillion Amazon reviews on different abdominal binders. You will definitely want to measure your waste before purchasing any hernia belts. I did a lot of research before deciding that this would be a good option for myself. As with all things medical, each person's situation is different, and you have to weigh the pros and cons to make a choice. My concerns with using such a device: putting pressure on my pelvic floor, making a hernia worse, making my abdominal walls weaker from too much use. My reasons for looking into such a device were to be able to continue my active lifestyle, do yard work, lift heavy things, bend over a lot, etc. without aggravating my biggest hernia, or making it worse. I don't wear it unless I am going to be lifting something heavy, doing yard work, or bending over a lot doing a certain task (picking up pinecones). I have had it for about a month, I think. It seems to be really good quality. I strap it on pretty tight to hold support the abdominal wall/hernia. I am short wasted so I'm glad I got this one. The 9 inch would have been way too long. It does shift a little bit when bending over a bit, but not badly. I just pull it down a smidge. I highly recommend reading a bunch of different reviews and looking for people with a similar body type and activity level before purchasing a product like this. I am approximately 37-38 inches at my belly button(because of the hernia), and 40 at the hip. I purchased the S/M and it's a true to size. I wasn't sure if I would use the pad that you use to push in the hernia. It seemed huge when I first put it on, but I am so glad I have it. It's really awesome that it's adjustable/customizable to cover a certain spot/hernia. You could purchase another if you needed multiple. I think using the push-in pad is a major benefit to holding the hernia into your abdominal wall and supporting around the hole. Definitely measure yourself before ordering. I LOVE this belt. I have been able to lift 50lb. pavers, dog food bags, hay bales, bending over a ton, and I am not soar, with a swollen, aggravated hernia at the end of the day when I take this off. It does what I purchased it for. Hernia is inside, not pushed out and painful. Long term, I will have to get the hernia fixed, but I am not in a place to do that currently. This is a temporary tool to help me with my current life goals and I am very grateful for this product. I will definitely purchase this product again when I need another one. I am sure it will wear out eventually. This is a great product for a good price. Being able to be active and productive without making my hernia worse is a blessing. I don't know about wearing it against bear skin. If you don't want it be seen, I would personally put on a snug fitting tank top to wear under it so it doesn't rub your skin. I usually just wear it over my t-shirt and jeans without any problems. If you wore it under your jeans, you wouldn't have to take it off to go to the bathroom. It will feel pretty tight, but that is the key for what it's supposed to do. Seems like a really great company that has a lot of high-quality products to help people for a decent price.

Hab eine ca. 25 cm lange hernie entlang der (aktuell nicht vorhandenen) linea alba nach einer bauch-op. toller gurt. gibt starken halt und hält eingeweide zusammen.

I got this belt for an umbilical hernia. It is a well made product and I am happy with my purchase. I am 5 11 and I weigh 280 pounds. I have a big belly area to cover so I found it was better to lie on my couch and put belt on so I could pull the belt tighter to get maximum tightness. I got the 2xl size. a bit tight to get on but it worked. I wish belt was 3 inches bigger but hey i could be a little skinnier too. :) This belt doesn't roll up easy once in place. It is a bit restrictive due to its width but being in construction I still managed to be able to move ok in it and do my work carefully. Velcro is good quality and I got about 8 months out of mine with a lot of abuse on the belt. If you are not rough with the product I'm sure you can get much more life out of it. I would definitely buy it again. Works well! better than some other belts I used in the past. Over all great stitching on the product. Very durable overall.
