Plan out the Install
Quick delivery . Easy install .. As others have said over priced ... But necessary if your having problems and want to keep track of level ...For the price they could have included an L bracket to keep it away from the firewall, luckily I had one lying around that fit ...Very well made and should last forever ....

Feed the tube up fropm the bottom!
Overall I like the B&M Dipstick kit. It is a little pricey, but once installed, I feel that it is worth the money.Installed on a 2012 F-150 FX4 5.0L.

Right idea
Ford in their infinite wisdom did not include a dipstick for the transmission fluid in the engine bay. This dipstick by B&M is good quality but is way overpriced. The dipstick was easy enough to install but dipstick itself requires you to use a saw to mark the location of the fluid with the original dipstick. For $250, that should already have been done. It works but the price is high.

very easy to install
extremely happy with the end result. Actually brought it up over the transmission to the passenger side firewall to keep it away from my short tube headers

Very expensive accessory with critical limitations.
Even after reading the customer reviews, I still bought this dipstick for a 2016 F-150 XLT Super Crew, 5.0liter V-8, with 6-Speed 6R80 transmission. The dipstick has very nice machined aluminum alloy fittings. The tubing is durable with stainless steel shielding. As other customers have noted, the black tab used for reading the level of the fluid is anodized black aluminum and is extremely difficult to impossible to read. The more I worked with it, the more I ended up grinding off the black finish. Once I determined where the two "hashed" areas that correspond to the plastic OEM dipstick markings, I considered drilling two small holes at each end of the hashed area to capture some of the fluid, making it easier to determine the fluid level, like an oil dipstick. But when I couldn't find a place to mount the top bracket in the engine bay, I abandoned the whole effort and put the dipstick aside. I decided to use the end piece that screws into the transmission, add a few brass pipe fittings and use my transmission fluid suction/fill pump to pump in the fluid to about the right level, then reverse the pump and suck out the overage, leaving about the right fluid level. So, the high price this product costs is not worth it.

Fits F250, 6.2, 6R100 trans
Took a chance knowing 6R80 and 6R100 Trans are the same case, fits and works fine. Installed on a 2019 F250, 6.2, 6R100 Trans.

Way too expensive
This product replaces the 5-inch long transmission dipstick for the Ford 6R80 type transmission and variations. It is manufactured by B&M and sold by Speedway Motors. At a price point of $250.00 plus tax, it is hugely overpriced for what you receive. The build quality is less than desired. There are no hash marks or fluid low/full marks on the fluid level end of the dipstick. You have to make your own. Unlike a typical flat metal dipstick, this uses a braided metal cable. Unlike a standard dipstick which uses a push-to-seat type top end, this unit screws closed, which causes the fluid end to flop around on the end of the cable, which makes getting a reliable reading of the fluid level impossible. The length of this product is such that when run in a way that avoids having it anywhere near the exhaust system allows mounting on the firewall, but that ends up with the tube having a bend in it that the dipstick won’t pass through. The product is in my vehicle, is securely tie-strapped to a wiring bundle, and is usable to ensure that my transmission fluid level isn’t low enough to cause any problems. I can also add fluid myself instead of getting a mechanic at a shop somewhere to do it for me. Unless you are dead-set on avoiding taking your vehicle to a shop and paying their exorbitant prices like I am, avoid this product at this price point. It is not worth the price!!!

follow the B&M instructions!!
very easy to install when following the instructions, once installed it works well as an oil level dipstick and when changing trans-oil, to refill the transmission with fresh oil.

Way way over priced
Great item. High quality. Way over priced. I know within my circles at least six people that won't buy it based on the the fact it's way over priced. Based on a business point lower the price by a third, sell at least double the volume and you make more money.

broke opening package
The little black piece that measures the height of oil fell off opening package. Not properly crimped it could of fallen off in transmission,
