My Favorite Color Ink
I've been using this ink for a few weeks now in a few different pens and have decided it's finally time to write up a review. To preface, I have inked up two Pilot Metropolitans, a Lamy 2000, and a Sheaffer Targa with this ink. What do I think about it? It's absolutely amazing and its a great value for the price. Being a student, I was hesitant to use a red ink as red is the stereotypical grading color. This led to me to reach out to the outer edges of what I considered red so that it could still be acceptable. I now have this inked full time in a Lamy 2000 and have written multiple papers and done countless assignments with not a single complaint from any of my teachers unless I'm specifically asked to only use a certain color ink and don't just because I love how this ink looks and writes so much. The ink flows well, but with that comes the slight problem that in a larger nib it might write very wet. I don't like a wet writing nib, so I just put it in a pen with a fine nib, but it's worth noting for others. On regular notebook paper there is little to no bleed through and very minor feathering given you're using a fine/extra-fine nib. I don't often use high quality paper so I can't share how it behaves on that.As for the color, 'Oxblood' describes it almost perfectly. If i were to stray from that word, I might use 'dried-blood' to describe it almost as well. It takes on the brown red look that one might expect from dried blood. Also, after its been sitting on paper for a while it almost seems to get more brown as the time passes just as one would expect from drive blood. It actually looks so much like blood that I had a teacher freak out because she thought my hand was bleeding after seeing a but of it on my palm. The great price paired with the 80mL bottle, which is larger than most bottles from other manufactures, lead to this ink being an awesome value especially since it is so high-quality and behaves so well.I always recommend this ink to anyone who's looking for a great ink at a great price and especially if their looking for an ink that is just as beautiful as it is unique.

Great color, quality ink.
This is a very popular ink for a reason. It works well in all of my pens. It is a bit pricey, but it is quality stuff. You definitely pay more for the fancy bottle, but to me it's worth it because the bottle makes a great accessory on my desk.I was having a tough time deciding between Oxblood and Writer's Blood, both from Diamine. After getting this I ordered a sample of Writer's Blood to compare. Basically, Oxblood is more brown and Writer's blood is more purple. I still haven't decided which I prefer - both are really nice though, so you can't go wrong.Anecdotally, a stranger saw me writing with Oxblood and said "oh, that's interesting I've never seen brown ink" which kind of deflated me a bit since I was hoping she would have said "Goodness noble warrior, how did you fill that pen with blood??" Maybe I should order some Red Dragon next...

rich color
Rich color, i generally use this as my primary note taking color 3/4 of the time, with 1/4 of the color on my page being light blue color to balance it out. Use also Writers blood for this purpose. For me it became a yama budo replacement, but is darker (more black).

Aestheticly pleasing
I loaded the Diamine Oxblood Turquoise, ( 80ml Fountain Pen Ink Bottle ) into two of my fountain pens, a tempermental, bi-polar vintage Parker and a modern Twsbi. Both pens write very smooth and the Diamine ink flowes perfectly onto paper without bleeding or feathering. A very pleasing ink. Buy this stuff.

Oxblood; Anything but Ordinary
I received Diamine Oxblood a good month ago, and determined that it would be best if I were to run this ink through a few of my pens as a quality assurance. Sure enough, the ink is exceptional. To begin, the ink arrived a day early which was a pleasant surprise; I was impressed, well done Marketfair Stationery. Now, onto the actual product... The ink is exceptionally unique. I wasn't looking for the common red, or deep burgundy, but instead a brow-red that would satisfy just about any scenario from taking notes to writing letters home (I am a college student at UC Berkeley, and I adore writing letters). This ink does run slightly more wet than the common Noodler's, so I would reccomend a finer nib when writing with this ink. After putting this through a series of four pens (Nemosine, Lami, Noodler's and a Glass Pen [brand unknown]) I found that the Lami Whisper EF and my Nemosine F nibs worked best with this ink. I will note that my handwriting does run on the smaller (microscopic) size. Most of you by now are just curious as to what color this is exactly; so here's it plain and simple. Dried blood. With a sample of ink in front of my I can tell you that it has primary tones of deep, sinister red and a burnt brown. In dark light, this ink appears more as a black-red, but in the direct sunlight it appears more of a brown-red. If you're looking for a unique ink to fulfill your desires, look no further. This ink has satisfied me every time I've picked up my pen.If I must find one negative aspect to this ink, it would be cleaning. Cleaning this ink from a pen can prove a challenge to an inexperienced fountain-pen owner. It is trickier to clean out from a pen, especially if you are planning to switch to something much lighter than this color. With that said, any red that I have owned has been a challenge to clean out, especially Noodler's Widowmaker and Red-Black Bulletproof. As far as "red" inks go, this actually was relatively easy to clean compared to the others in my collection. So, that brings me to my final words on this pen; unique color, fabulous flow, and the customer experience? Exceptional.
