The media could not be loaded.  This little ukulele and starter kit are a fantastic value for the price! The instrument itself is good quality, and produces a nice bright sound. I was very happy to just give it a quick tune and start playing right out of the box. Strings are nicely placed with low action, so it was easy to get a great sound on day one. After about 3 days the instrument is holding its tune nicely, and I'm having a lot of fun playing it!The starter kit that comes along with it includes a nice soft-sided gig back with an accessory pocket and backpack-style straps. The uke also has strap buttons, and the strap that comes with it can be used with the buttons or with the included string if you want to tie it on the headstock. The clip-on tuner that comes with the kit is easy to use, and a must when breaking in a new uke. Additionally the kit comes with a spare set of nylon strings, and a "get started" book with a lot of basics about playing the ukulele.This would be a great first-time instrument, as it comes with everything you need to start playing. It is also a good addition for anyone who is looking for a nice soprano ukulele, as it both sounds great and looks really nice. The wood grain finish is stylish but simple, and it has a nice rope design print around the sound hole. The quality at this price point is really excellent -- this uke is fun to play, and I plan to enjoy its music for many years to come.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a fantastic little ukulele! It is my fourth ukulele, so I have something to compare it to, and I can say that this is the best sounding one I have. Let's go over it:Pros:1. Beautiful wood grain on the stained mahogany. Just gorgeous.2. Inlaid Kmise log in headstock looks expensive and attractive; nice accent that doesn't overwhelm the instrument.3. Awesome tuning pegs! These are so unique! They are silver, and at a glance look open, but actually have a clear plastic cover, really cool. And, the knobs have a plastic that looks like tigers eye crystal. Super cool.4. Nice carved shape on the saddle that is subtle but pretty.5. Two silver toned strap buttons.6. A rope rosette hole decal that gives it a nautical or country look. Note it is a decal, not inlay.7. MOST IMPORTANT: it sounds fantastic!8. Comes with a really nice, small, easy to use tuner with battery. Simple but nice case. Cute checkerboard strap that is thin and comfortable, a chord chart, and a basic ukulele booklet, as well as extra strings.Cons:There is just one con, and it's small but important- it comes with a little piece of sandpaper. Why? You know as soon as you pick it up that the fret edges are sharp and need to be filed down. It's a must. When you do this, be sure to tape off the side of the fretboard so you don't damage the wood. Just use masking, painters, or washi tape. Then, wrap the sand paper around a pencil or thing piece of wood and gently sand the edges of the metal frets. There are youtube videos on how to do this if you are nervous.Overall, beautiful ukulele that is a much better quality than the price indicates. At $55 before coupon, this is a really good deal. With the coupon that it had at the time, it's a steel. :DBefore this, I was in love with my pineapple uku that you see in the video; I play it every day. But I think this new Kmise soprano is going to be my new go-to uku. Beginner or intermediate, you can't go wrong with this one!

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this little uke sounded. It looks good with all evidence of a quality build. The tuners look the same as on some Donner ukuleles. The ukulele holds tune well. The sound board and bottom are both notably thin help to produce that better than average quality on tone. For the price, this is an excellent deal. I put this as a top choice for an entry soprano. * Updated: Have used this uke for a while. It's sustain is awesome. This has a crystal clear bright tone, and is louder than others I've purchased for family members. I'm having a hard time justifying paying more for a uke! The quality on this is amazing. Stays in tune for a long time - only minor tuning required occasionally. *Having nice success with this ukulele. I could actually play a three chord song the first day. Tuned easily - nice JOYO gadget to help. Nice bag with backpack handles and pocket for carrying the tuner and strap. Nice feeling strap - not sure if I'll use it, but nice. Really stayed pretty well in tune after playing it for a bit. I know the strings will need to work in and stretch, but still was a very decent hold on them for day 1 - no huge adjustments in tuning. Edges of frets are a bit rough, but I'm okay with that so far it doesn't hurt or scratch. I would prefer a smoother, glossy finish, but a rub down with a cotton cloth helped this surface to smooth down. It seemed a bit rough on my nylon knit top, but not on a cotton.Still working on doing a better strum...but that is hardly the ukulele's fault! I would purchase this again. It has a nice sound and a nice look. Back is slightly curved to increase it's sound. Oh, take the silicon packet out of the inside of the uke before playing. You may notice a rattling otherwise. LOL!4 stars because of the rough edges on frets and a little roughness on the body finish. Not enough to make me send it back! Still love it! Sound is great. Comes very safely packaged.

What can I say, it arrived in just a couple days of ordering so they're fast to get it to you. Everything that was listed came with, no scruffs, dents, or bends on anything. Plus all I needed to do was just a little fine tuning. So all in all I'd say this was a great buy!

As a retired person I need to consider carefully before spending a chunk of my pension on any new interest or hobby but I have a few friends that enjoy playing the ukulele and i fancied having a go myself, so I started looking to find one that would be good enough to learn with, and still be good enough to be able to enjoy playing - hopefully for several years to come !There are plenty of cheap ukuleles available, and advice from several sources was that there was no need to spend too much on one to get started, so with that in mind I started my search with Amazon and liked the look of the Kmise Soprano outfit that came with a soft case, and a spare set of strings with a neck strap and basic handbook.From what I could see online, the ukulele looked to be nicely finished and had some good reviews, so I decided to part with £49.99 and make this my first ukulele purchase, even though I know of nobody else that had bought one of this make.On delivery I couldn't have been more pleased. The finish of this ukulele was first class and it looked and sounded like a much more expensive instrument.The neck has a lovely "low action" that makes it very easy to play (with no buzzing from the frets) and the tone that it produces is absolutely beautiful. The soft case is also good enough and the included neck strap fits and works as it should, so my first two days of ownership has been very encouraging.Ownership day 3 however, brought me back down - with a bump!Amazon started selling this exact same ukulele outfit for just £39.99 - a massive £10 less than I had only just paid for mine! Naturally this has not been received too well, but I could send it back after ticking the reason for making the return as "found at a better price elsewhere".In an attempt to save unnecessary handling (and courier charges), I have asked Kmise (via Amazon) if they would consider giving me a £10 refund, or a voucher to spend on another Kmise instrument in the future so I can stay with this excellent manufacturer/supplier without the hassle of returning this ukulele to them only to re-purchase exactly the same one again to save myself £10.This £10 saving is 25% of its overall cost, and this makes an already very good instrument package an absolute bargain - unless (like myself) you had only just paid £49.99 for it!****Kmise customer service is outstanding - they refunded the tenner! I can definately recommend buying Kmise - and I will doing so again in the future!Thank you Kmise.
