Lasts longer than some of the smaller filters.
Super easy to install, and based on the amount of debris it is holding when I replace it, it looks to be quite effective! It is pricey, but seems to last much longer than some of the smaller filters in my smaller machines! My purifier usually alerts me once a year that it needs changing.

Super effective, cleans the air as advertised and helps with allergies
For the past few years I’ve used Levoit air purifiers which are the absolute best! I love getting the filters here because they can get pricey elsewhere. They work so great and after 6 months of use, the before and after is unbelievable. There are no more dust particles in the air and my home smells fresher! I’ve also noticed less allergies too!

They work and they're authentic, but they should be closer to $30, not $50. Bad value.
This is the "cheap printer, expensive ink" business model at work here, though the machine wasn't cheap.I got about 6 months out of my last filter with the unit set to an auto setting, which means at $50/each, I'm looking at $100/year minimum to run this air purifier. I think the replacement filters are grossly overpriced and I bet that's how levoit makes their money. That said they do work pretty well. The old ones look dirty. And I have noticed the amount of dust is far less than it used to be in my apartment. My original propose was to cut down on the haze which occurs when searing meat, as well as other general smells coming from the kitchen since I have no real stove top vent. The machine and filters have made a noticeable improvement. I just hate how much these filters cost. I work in manufacturing and wouldn't be the least bit surprised if these filters are marked up 10x for what they cost to make, IE $5.

Just as good as an official filter
It’s the same size, shape, and weight as an official replacement. It does just as good of a job.

Very Strong Unpleasant Chemical Odor!
UPDATE: Extra stars for the excellent customer service I received directly from Levoit. They were very responsive to my email inquiry about the bad smell situation. They seemed really concerned and asked a lot of questions to understand exactly what was going on and come up with the best solution. I am very happy with the outcome. Thank you, Levoit, for your five-star commitment to your customer's needs.ORIGINAL ONE-STAR POST: I've changed my Levoit air filters regulary since I purchased my unit in 2020. This filter is poorly made compared to my previous filter -- even the seam is off center -- and it has THE WORST chemical-like odor coming off of it that is sickening!! In the last five years, I've never had this issue before!! Their quality has gone down hill. I need to research for a new air filter. Ugh.
