as per my headline, with my 2002 GMC Sierra 2500hd, decided to replace my filters in my truck, and they were all black, now hope my truck will run better?

I think everyone should change their filter in their car or truck to a k&N filter. It makes your vehicle run better and saves you money.

I replaced the air filter on my 2003 Cadillac Escalade 6.0 with this K&N one. I have a stock set up with only a Flowmaster muffler as an upgrade. It was a perfect fit with no modifications needed to install. The sound under acceleration has a bit more base which is good. I have had it on for a few weeks and I can't say I have seen a noticeable performance increase through acceleration or general power. After install as some have reported, I did not have any issues with weird idle or a CEL. It does make the muffler sounds better and my MPG are steady at about 13. I think I will need to give it a few months to see if there are any longer term changes. I am happy with the purchase.

The K&N 33-2135 panel filter was found compatible with the stock GM air box, although the filter depth was approximately 0.25" shorter than the AC-Delco OEM paper filter it replaced - See photo below. Performance increases were evident immediately, as was a far smoother idle upon cold startup. The OEM filter was in service for approximately 12 months and 10k miles, and it was not excessively soiled and certainly not occluded (plugged). However, the typical rough idle experienced on cold starts for approximately 5 seconds was completely eliminated solely by replacing the OEM paper filter with this K&N panel filter. Clearly the MAF sensor was affected by the new airflow dynamic, and apparently this resulted in a leaner cold start Air-Fuel mixture. Fuel economy (aka mileage) was unchanged as monitored after two tankfulls of fuel, but engine slew rate (aka acceleration) was noticeably increased in magnitude (i.e. the vehicle was found to accelerate faster). Additionally, the linearity of the acceleration curve relative to the respective command by the pedal position was greatly improved after changing to the K&N air filter. The goal was to improve cold start idle roughness and improve fuel economy, and this solution solved one of the two obvious design limitations present in the 2010 6.2l Cadillac L94 engine. Overall, this solution was viable, but the K&N air filter is still quite expensive as compared to disposable paper filters.

This filter will easily last 75000 miles if properly maintained (the last one did). A bit expensive upfront but the savings long term can be substantial. I use K&N in all my vehicles and have always found the products to be of the highest quality.

HEY. What can I say, it's a K&N air filter. I got a extra 100km. (60 miles) Per tank of gas and as soon as I installed, it also felt like the truck had an extra 30 horses under the hood. The filter pays for itself by never having to buy another crappy paper filter again. The savings in fuel and extra power is an added bonus. All in all, the return on investment is cash positive saving many times the cost of filter. HEY. It's a K&N.

Ich fahre den Filter in einem 2002er Cadillac Escalade. Von mehr Leistung oder weniger Verbrauch habe ich nichts gemerkt. Natürlich ist das Auto jetzt etwas spritziger als mit dem alten, verstopften Filter, der wahrscheinlich die letzten 100.000 km da drin war. Aber mein Auto verbraucht, und beschleunigt ungefähr gleich, wie vor 50.000 km, als der alte Filter noch gut war. Da der Filter aber laut Hersteller ewig hält und von sichtbar besserer Verarbeitungsqualität ist, als das Standard Papierzeugs, würde ich den Filter weiterempfehlen. Vor allem, da der Preisunterschied hierzulande nicht sehr groß ist. Wenn man einen Standard Filtereinsatz in den USA für 10$ kauft, sieht das anders aus. Aber der Versand war mir dann zu teuer.
