I've been making wine and mead for 2 years, over time I've had to replace my siphon 3 times so far, first I probably did it myself with the dishwasher, the other 2 times the rubber seal shrinks or the starsan eats at it? Not sure? But my advice is if you buy one, you should probably get two.

This is a very useful and inexpensive tool to help with racking wine from a gallon carboy. Simple design that work perfectly. Two quick pumps and it will empty a gallon carboy in a few second and leaving the lees at the bottom.

This siphon was perfect for my 1 Gallon container. Its just what was needed. It fits in the opening great and clips to the right height.
