GOOD CHOICE!
Very good choice of books for my two grand-children (ages 7 and 10), illustrated and inexpensive Thank you ! I feel sick when they read "regular 21-st century stuff" with vampires, sorcerers, and killers.

For young kids
These are not books for 3rd graders. KG-1st.

nice big print
big print and good line spacing suitable for beginners (my child is 6 and has been learning to read for 18 months). I also like the fact that the sentences are kept simple and there are no confusing details because that helps beginners actually remember what they have read. The paper is unbleached and feels a bit rough, but seems decent quality. The "a" is printed with the hook on top, unlike in most beginner books, but by the time children read books like this, with mostly text and only a few pictures, they will cope. The pictures are black and white, simple but really sweet - and I actually prefer pictures that don't distract the child too much. Because the language is kept rather simple I guess it would also be quite suitable for students of English (as a foreign language).
