I was hesitant when I bought these paints for the first time because the price was higher than that of other, lesser quality paints, however, after using them for the first time I quickly understood what made them so special. The qualityof the richness and blendability is exceptional and they are so easy to use. I like the size of the half pans and the color variety is perfect for my little studio. I loved these so much I purchased more and now have more on the way! Definitely worth the money!

I absolutely love Daniel Smith watercolors. They are the best professional quality of watercolor paints I own. They wet easily, flow easily from a watercolor brush, blend easily and easily a fantastic value. I loved that the large variety of colors in this set came in half pans inside a metal case. The cases are very sturdy and hold up extremely well. Whether using small 5ml tubes of paint, half pans of paint or paint from the largest 15ml tubes, painting with Daniel Smith watercolors is a very big pleasure and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wide assortment of professional grade watercolors. I also love the sample dot cards have dots of actual watercolor applied to watercolor paper and allowed to dry and be shipped to customers to try samples of this watercolor paint. A little of this paint goes a very, very long way.

What an upgrade - quality paints, vibrant colors and easy to use- a little more expensive but I can see why!

I have always wanted this set. I am a professional artist. Been painting pretty much all my life. I’ve worked in all kinds of media. And I don’t know why it took me this long to buy this set! If you love watercolors? You will not regret buying this set.

So I'm not the artist in this house but the person who is an artist liked these. They took a long time to arrive, missing the holidays by weeks. At least one of the colors looked different than expected according to the artist.

I have been using Daniel Smith watercolor for quite a few years now, but I have always used the tubes. I have almost every one of the colors from this set in tubes and wanted to try the hand poured pans. They are just as vibrant as the tube paints and they moisten quickly. The extra palette is great to have to create another color palette. I would recommend this set for any beginner or professional. I made a color chart on Boahong CP Paper, which is much more textured than most CP paper. It made almost all of the colors look granulating and some of them are not. At the time of purchase, the paint averaged to 5 dollars a pan plus you get the extra Palette for free. The only negative I have is, there is no room for a brush in the palette. It really doesn't matter to me because I have travel brushes that are in a small case and when at home, I have free access to all my brushes. All-in-all I would just say buy this kit and you will not regret it. Get familiar with the different pigments and how they react to different papers. Which paints are super active to different amounts of water on paper, wet on wet, color mixing on paper and pre mixing. Just have fun and paint.

O material do estojo é frágil, mas as tintas Daniel Smith são maravilhosas. Veio tudo direitinho.
