Supa Aquarium Gravel Cleaner & Washer, Separates And Removes Aquarium/Fish Tank Debris, Made In The UK

I have given the supa gravel cleaner 5 stars because it is a well made and sturdy product,but I was disappointed because the product detail described the narrow hose as being 200 cm long when in fact it is only 154 cm long, so now I will have to buy some longer hose. But I am still pleased to find a sturdy gravel cleaner as recommended by plentiful on YouTube.

A very simple gravel cleaner. The thin plastic tube could be longer and softer though.I bought this sort of aquarium gravel cleaner for the first time. I knew it would be tricky to start it without sucking on the end of the thin tube to make the water going, as there is no pump. However, after watching a YouTube video by Aquarium Coop I learnt how to do it. It actually worked without the sucking on the dirty tube.After the water starts flowing you should pinch the thin tube to slow down the water flow or stop it.It worked for me the first time I tried it. As I said, I highly recommend looking up on YouTube how to use this sort of gravel cleaner properly.It's a bit tricky and needs some practice but it does the job. I got it for an 87l aquarium.

The media could not be loaded.  Great gravel cleaner for the price, I broke mine and was looking for a similar one, this is it. You have to prime it yourself ( I just use my mouth 🤣 one quick suck and the water flows 😂 I’m used to it as my old one was the same). The suction on it is sufficient to get your gravel clean ( look at video) this is a smaller 17ltr tank, it’s maybe too big for this size of tank as it takes most of the water out quite quickly before you can give it a thorough clean. So wouldn’t work for a nano tank.It worked well in my bigger tank (first picture) this tank is 45cm tall, 76cm length and 30cm wide so more suited. The tube cleaner, does have a filter at the top of the tube ( second picture) if you suck anything big it can reduce the flow but I just stopped, pull it out, clean then back to cleaning again. My old one didn’t have that so might just get my husband to drill it out but it’s not a big issue for me to use with it there. DIMENSIONS. I couldn’t find on the description the size of the actual tube etc. So picture above, the tube cleaner, is approximately 30cm in length and diameter is just over 4cm. The flexi tube attached is about 151cm long so plenty to dangle out of the tank to your bucket.

I have a 45cm tall (18”) tank and it’s long enough that I can get into the corners without soaking my armpit. Not the most powerful gravel cleaner but does the job.Feels pretty sturdy so I doubt it will break easily like my last one.

Not worth money or wouldn't buy

I am a new fish tank owner (thanks to my daughter). I did'nt have a clue how to clean a tank so I looked at sites and everyone recommended a gravel cleaner, they were right I can't see how it could be done properly without one. It took me a while to get the hang of it but I sussed it and it works great! There maybe better ones for larger tanks but for our 40ltr it works and the price was good there were some very expensive ones which after using one I can't see why, they must all do the same thing. I say go for this one. :)

Ended up buying another one the suction power of this item I found was poor .. to be honest there wasn't any point because it did nothing

rubbish didnt work for me.
