Very capable, connectible, affordable unit for speed
I seldom ever give a product a five star review, but this unit exceeded my expectations and enabled me to get more value from my Sunny Spin Bike (BC1002) with the 49lb fly wheel. I've owned the Wahoo cadence and Tickr sensors for years, which work with the bike, but I've long wanted a sensor to measure distance. Wahoo doesn't support its speed sensor on exercise bikes, which meant that I needed to find a non-Wahoo one. Well-packaged, the sensor arrived in great shape. Setup was a snap. The most pleasant surprise was how quickly the Wahoo Fitness and Strava apps recognized and connected with the sensor. I attached the sensor just above the hub of the flywheel with velcro, waited a few hours for the adhesive to set, then got on the bike, pedaled a few times to wake up the sensor, and I began clocking distance and speed. The Wahoo Fitness app allows you to input wheel circumference. I calculated mine by measuring the wheel's diameter (18" approx.) then multiplied by pi to get circumference in inches, and then multiplied by 25.4 to convert the circumference to millimeters. Wahoo's app provides a table of wheel sizes, I picked one that was close to my measurement. For my spinning needs, ballpark results are good enough for speed and distance. I'm more particular about heart rate and cadence. Although I prefer Wahoo Fitness, other available fitness apps provide similar functionality. All told, my kludged collection of Wahoo and Taope sensors, combined with the Wahoo Fitness app, enabled me to turn my dumb spin bike into an intelligent one, supplying data I want at an extremely reasonable price.

Easy to connect, and effective
Update: upon further research I was able to connect the sensor and use it for speed. I was initially trying to set it up under the general Stava app settings, but I now know that you need to go to the record screen and connect the device in these settings. I found out because I ended up purchasing the Garmin speed and cadence original combo and quickly discovered that they do not work with Bluetooth. The new Garmin speed 2 works with Bluetooth but it is pointless purchasing the $70 combo when you can only connect one sensor to tour phone at a time. On the other hand you can connect both of those or any other compatible sensor to a bike computer. I am returning the Garmin and keeping this one az it is effective, easy to connect and cost much less... This does not work with Strava app but they have advertisements even in the instructions saying that it does. Worthlessness

Great Product
I ride 7 days a week and 16 miles each day on a mostly flat road with very few bumps and on days when it's raining I put my bike on a trainer and ride on it for 60 minutes. This took me a whopping 60 seconds to install on my rear hub and use it for speed. I like it enough right now that I am considering buying a second to install on my crank for cadence - maybe. I use this with Wahoo Fitness APP and it has paired with my phone the first time and so far every time. The accuracy seems to be on par with my Google Fit app and my cateye wireless speedometer. I have had no issues either inside on the trainer or outside on the road and have been completely satisfied especially considering the price which is why I am considering a second. I use it on a Trek Equinox.

It Doesn’t Work.
I am very dissatisfied. The instructions are not easy to follow. The directions to put in the battery, which is not an easy task, did not mention how, be sure to use a nickel as I found anything else screws up the slot you have to turn. Once I got the battery in it got frustrating getting it into the mode I wanted, red and blue lights indicated the mode. I have tried 10 apps, but not one would sync. I have taken the battery out put it back in took it out again and then many more times after that. It just won’t work. For me it was a waste of money.

Great Product For My Stationary Cycle
Bought 2 of these for 1 stationary cycle. Taped 1 to flywheel using double-sided tape tape acting as a speed sensor. Mounted other on pedal arm acting as cadence sensor. Both sensors connecting to my Garmin Instinct through Ant+ with no issues and no disruptions. Now my "Bike Indoor" activity records speed, distance, and cadence stats. I have a speedo on my stationary cycle that I referenced to calibrate the speed sensor on my Instinct watch by adjusting the wheel size within the watch's sensors settings. The instructions are easy to follow to set the sensor to be either a speed or a cadence sensor. Battery that comes with product is good. I am very happy with this product because it is working great with my Garmin watch using Ant+, it is accurate, it is reliable and it comes at a fraction of the price of similar products.

Good Quality but......
Good quality sensor speed and cadence tracking, however, it will be nice if there were 2 sensors for the price, since it can only be used for ether speed or candance at a time and not both together. The manual said it's compatible with strava but strata did not work for me. Wahoo fitness app works great. All in all a good quality speed and can dance UPDATE: Does not work with STRAVA Sensor started to lose condition to phone during use even though batteries are fine. Sensor stopped wirking after a year.

Cheap and effective
I use this for outdoor rides as well as Zwift. I'm not sure why some of the reviews say it's not compatible with Zwift... I use it all the time. I hate to say it, but those people don't know what they're doing, so you can chalk that up to user error on their end... The sensors are pretty accurate, I get consistent readings that match up with GPS data collected in Strava. They're unbelievably simple to install, and once you pair them to your phone it's off to the races!

Very useful and well worth the price!
Works perfectly! I use it for cadence. On the road I use it with the wahoo app and then upload it to Strava through the wahoo app, this way it will record the cadence on Strava. When used indoors, it connects perfectly to zwift and is far more accurate than the cadence sent to zwift from my kinetic smart control bike trainer. So I use the kinetic to send wattage information and this cadence sensor to provide accurate cadence info. I've used it continually for four months so far, and it never fails to provide accurate readings.
