This review wants me to state Range, Concealability, Spray Quality, Design, and effectiveness… let me tell you.. I added this can of pepper spray to my EDC bag and have it in an easily accessible spot for rapid deployment. I made it a habit to take my can out once a week and check for leaks and give a shake to make sure oils weren’t settling at the bottom of the can. Well this one evening I begin my weekly habit and pull the can out of my bag, little did I know I was holding the spray button and it was not in the safety position. I proceeded to shake the can but instead let off a nice stream of OC right over my head into the kitchen approximately 15’ behind me slightly spraying my wife’s shoulder and side of her arm, I then brought the can down quickly and was able to manage a short splash onto my forehead. The splatter from my forehead was enough to send splatter at basically point blank range out about 4’ around me. Ready for the effective part??? Well my wife calls me an idiot and walks away down the hall to the bedroom to wash off. Well I am left sitting in my wheelchair when the burning feeling really starts to take over. Word of advice,, don’t rub this stuff it just makes everything worse… at this point my wife is screaming that her eyes are burning I’m trying to wheel myself to a water source and neither of us can help… after several minutes of cursing and painful screaming everything settled down only for us to mention the whole house is spicy after we dragged the oils all over and not even heavy mopping made it better. We spent a couple days with burning itching eyes in our homes and our poor dogs wouldn’t come back in for about a week. So I would say this stuff does its job pretty well just hope it’s on an attacker and not myself next time I use…
