so far so good
A couple of house sparrows decided to make a nest in a vent opening on top of our window (our brand new window I must say!) on a side of our house. One out of two bird was either stupid or too young. It would miss the nest and fly directly in our window banging in our radon filled duel panel glass! Bang-bang-bang! We tried scaring them, hanging some foil, cardboard, shiny stuff - nehhh. They would not leave. I don't mind them living with us, just don't destroy our investment. Well, this scary eyes scared them away finally. Birds do not bang on the window anymore, but they are int the back yard. Sometimes the scary eyes even scary me when I walk into the kitchen at night and they are right there outside of the window. Our neighbors probably think we are nuts with all our voodoo bird stuff happening in the past couple of weeks. We actually had a few strong showers and storms recently, and the eyes are still there - it did not fly away nor it deflated. Seems like decent quality products that does what it promises. I would recommend.

Piece of plastic JUNK!!!
It did not last through a thunderstorm, mounting ring on top ripped off & left a big hole for balloon to deflate & Is now a flattened ,useless item. If It was solid filled with foam it would have been a good product but it is a balloon that cannot stand up to the weather, Its a waste of money!

Might be scarier to your birds. My birds just scoffed at it
I have a MAJOR woodpecker problem. The house resembles swiss cheese at this point. I've consulted experts and have tried a variety of remedies but still they come back and sharpen their little beaks on my house. Its the downy woodpecker that is doing all the damage. A couple of years ago he drilled one of his many many many holes in the front of my house right by my living room windows. I came home from work one day to find him inside the hole throwing the insulation out and onto the ground. Next thing I knew he had moved his kin folk in for the winter. Over the next couple of years he's built extensions onto his palace inside my walls. So, I have tried everything, because this little fellow is just the tip of the damage iceberg. I've put up the fake owl, I've hung mylar streamers near all the holes, I've sprayed the wood with all sorts of supposedly awful tasting insecticides and I even bought a super soaker water gun in the hopes that a sound spaying with water might deter the drilling. Nothing has helped. I tried this Bird-X scare eye balloon and like everything else, it worked briefly. A couple of days, maybe, and then they were right back at it, drilling away. They even drill on the metal frame of my garage door and windows. So, why am I giving this 3 stars rather than 1 star? Because I think I have a uniquely bad situation here and I know for a fact the Scare eye has worked on some peoples' bird problems. So I went middle of the road with my rating. It didn't' really work for me but I know it has potential.BOTTOM LINE: this wasn't a solution that worked for my problem but it has worked for other people I know so I know the potential is there.

Unimpressed
Utterly unimpressed with this Scare Eye. Unfortunately, it failed to resolve our quail problems. It was ineffective and did not dissuade the quail from hanging out with our turkey and chickens and eating their food. It didn't even appear to bother the turkey or laying hens for that matter. It just hung there bouncing in the breeze as every single bird in the vicinity continued to peck away at the feed and tidbits in the coops.Oh well. It was worth a try.The only reason I give it 2 stars is that the 2 and 7 year old like playing with it. Guess it's a rather over priced beach ball. But, at least we have found a secondary use for this item.If you have quail that are not deterred by anything (scare crow, reflective tape, fake owls, dog, etc.) I'd be mighty surprised if this will work for you.

Worked well so far
I bought this to deter the birds from building nests in the roof of my son's playset. I had tried bird netting in the past but they were able to figure out a way to squeeze through. I figured I would try one since it was not too expensive. I have hung it & no birds have nested. They have flown by but kept moving. So far so good. I will keep moving it as instructed on the package.

It works!
Had a cardinal attacking the rear windows. Went on for over a month, started at sunrise, continued to dusk. Bought this, suspended it from a gazebo. Bird stopped attacking immediately. Hasn’t been back since, though he’s around.

These Bird-X Scare-Eye’s work on Ducks!!!
I’ve been fighting to keep ducks out of my pool for years...once they’ve found it they migrate and leave dirty presents in and around our small pool. We have new grand babies and don’t want them infected by the germs left. Tried floating gators, netting, loud noises....they still come back. Placed these Bird-X Scare-Eye Bird Repellant balls in the pool with weights to keep them bobbing in place....no more ducks!!! They are still around the neighborhood, but not in my pool! Great product and design!
