Excellent for changing pinion seal on an 8.8
Thick, quality feel, nice fit and finish. Would have been nice if it came in the case and center bolt. Used a piece of 3/4 conduit 1inch would fit if conduit was modified slightly. Holes for mounting to flange fit well.

Perfect for Foxbody 8.8
I used this while rebuilding my 1990 Mustang LX 5.0 foxbody 8.8 rear end and it worked flawlessly.

Solid tool
Functioned perfectly on a Ford 8.8 from a 2000 Explorer. Well worth the money.

Not for a Ram 2500 diesel
it looks solid but it isn’t big enough to reach the bolt hole needed to hold it. I think the description should state that.

Excellent product
If you're looking at this product you know what a pain in the a you're about to be up against lol. We have done this rear end job multiple times without this tool and it just is a headache. Thos thing come in super clutch the ¾" breaker bar fits really snug and tight to allow use of a impact. Although the ½" broker fits loosely causing loss in impacts. We pinned the ¾"bar to the ground and used a cheap jack to push the ½" breaker up and appropriate 12 point socket to help with positioning. All those together help to persuade the pinion nut to its 400+lbs ft resting place and very very minimal wear on out tool plate. We'll definitely use this again. As for now it's in the cabinet with the 4.30 3.73 and 4.11 gears until next time.

Must be modified to use
Thick metal, which is what I was looking for, however I could not use this for a Jeep Grand Cherokee unless I modify it, so I figured out another method to hold the flange without the tool.

Very well made
Very well made tool..... however, I haven't used it yet. (will report back if I have any trouble when I use it) This was more money than some of the other similar looking flange/yoke holding tools on Amazon but this was the only one that specifically said FOR SURE that is fit the Ford 8.8, AND it's the only tool that had the provision for the 3/4 pipe to slide on as a handle. The bonus is that it was made in the USA
