Enamelware Small Basin, 4 quart, Black/White Splatter (Single)

Love this high grade enamelware basin dressed to perfection in a Burgundy / Cream finish. It’s the perfect size for a small batch of biscuit dough and pretty enough to use as a serving bowl or to just leave out on my kitchen counter.

A very nice bowl and for its price a great deal. A beautiful finish to the baked enamel. the bowl arrived well wrapped and packed so that there were chips or dents. The seller did a great job wrapping this bowl. Thank you. Chris

First off, the color and finish are lovely, with no rough edges or imperfections. I bought the bowl specifically to make a famous Timpano from the classic Italian movie, "Big Night" with Isabella Rossellini and Stanley Tucci. As you can see from the photos, the pasta masterpiece turned out perfectly. But, it doesn't stop there! Since then, I've used it to mix ingredients, serve salads, hold bread, and bring fruit to the table. It may be one of the most versatile bowls in the arsenal. If you like to cook or serve in larger quantities, this is the bowl for you.

The basin was carefully, solidly packaged and labeled within a few hours of ordering, and left the shipping facility the next day. As I said above, the basin looks great, a necessity because it'll be on an open shelf more often than not, as making a timpano won't be that frequent an occurrence (though I'll likely follow another reviewer's example and also use it to proof dough). And it worked very well, perfectly browning the crust and releasing it without a problem. The only thing some people might find disagreeable would be if, like mine, there were three small chips on the bottom/underside. (They were roughly equidistant and similar in appearance, so I'm guessing production-related.) Not being a food-contact surface, I'm not overly concerned, just have to take a little extra care to avoid further damage. Overall, I'm pretty happy with my basin and would recommend it to others.

This is an amazing mixing bowl. The finish is excellent and it's large... very large. Great addition to our kitchen.
