What is the length of this when extended?

It’s has a good extended , I ordered 1 and really liked it. I ordered 2 more and 1 worked good the 2nd one I got to use on a cruise and the first time I used it it just crumbled at the joint the other 2 haven’t had any trouble. So I had a hard time finding something to use on the cruise. I’m 300 lbs and I have no trouble it reaching. Good luck

How does it hold and let go of the toilet paper?

You have to wrap the paper or wipes around the end. And then unwrap when done.

What is a better brand since this will not hold the paper?

I don’t know of a better brand for a discreet size like this but if you wind the paper and extend a little extra paper and carefully tie it off around the bending joint you can tuck any loose end into the inner part of the joint. This works to avoid paper slippage.
