INFESTED
----tldr: full of live pantry moths only days after arriving. They were sealed in the bag and released upon opening so definitely came from this product. I included some pictures to show the state that the product arrived in before I tossed it into the fires of hell and hired a level 40 warlock to cast a protection ward over my pantry. Note that the 4 or 5 live adult moths had already flown out to no doubt stage their diabolical take over of my kitchen.-----full details:This product arrived Full. of. live pantry moths and wriggling larvae!! A couple of days after I received the tri color quinoa 10 lb. bag I opened it and several pantry moths flew out in my face. Several chunks of the quinoa were stuck together with webs and hanging by webs from the side of the bag.I've had this product for about 12 days but haven't had time to write a review. Absolutely disappointed and I ran at top speed to throw it outside. You absolutely don't want those pests in your house. I've lost hundreds of dollars of food to them in the past. I won't be bothering with trying to get a return but if I get an infestation because of this I will be escalating with amazon somehow....-------still 1 star I guess because shipping was fast, the product looked decent except for the live bugs and webs. Just remember you're gambling with the entire stock of dry goods in your pantry if you buy this....

As beautiful as it is tasty
This is very good quinoa. I am not a recent curiosity seeker about this wonderful, nutritious grain. It is a staple in our diets. We have eaten low on the food chain and mostly unprocessed for 45 or so years and have enjoyed the attendant health benefits as well as the culinary delights. When I first used quinoa, I found it too bitter until I learned it had to be carefully and thoroughly rinsed to remove the natural predator protection with which nature provided it. Then the producers got smart and washed it before they sent it to market, so this quinoa doesn't have that problem, nor do most on the market today. I still rinse all my whole grains briefly in a mesh strainer before using (except those I grind for bread for obvious reasons) because I am a fanatic about kitchen cleanliness. This multi-colored quinoa is not only beautiful to serve, but tasty hot and cold. I cook up a pot and use it warm one day with a hot veggie dish, and cold another tossed in a salad with beans and fresh vegetables. Sometimes, I heat up a little for lunch and drizzle it with really good olive oil and a sprinkle of freshly ground Himalayan salt. This brand seems be more tender and less abrasive than some I have used. It also has a sweet, delicious taste.

Our favorite quinoa - Strongly recommended
We have purchased this large bag of quinoa numerous times (our family goes through a bag every 2 months as it has become a healthy staple for us). We have never been disappointed by the quality of this quinoa. In fact, it is very high quality and does not contain any contaminants or hard bits like you will find in some quinoa. It is a great price in bulk for organic (quinoa has natural defenses against pests so organic growing isn't crucial but still nice to know it has not been doused in pesticides) quinoa! This quinoa cooks to perfection in a rice cooker (try speed rice setting, quick rice, or regular rice setting) our pressure pot or on the stovetop. We prefer the rice cooker with 3 cups water to 3 cups quinoa and it's done on the quick rice setting in about 25 minutes. Delicious, nutritious and light tasting! Strongly recommended product.

Tiny black stones
This is the second time i am ordering Tricolor Quinoa. First time no issues. Second time purchase i, am seeing tiny black stones. Initially i thought it was from some other food product that i mixed with Quinoa. To confirm, very next day i cooked just quinoa and consumed it . I am right there are stones in this product. Unless you chew very good you cannot feel the stones. Very disappointed.

Bulk purchase is economical
I went to write a review on the 25 lb. white quinoa and an old review I had written on the tri-color showed up. I left it below as a bonus review at the end of this review.I was hesitant to buy a 25 lb. bag of quinoa, but the white doesn't seem to be available at this time on Amazon in 10 lb. bags (this is being written in Dec. '21.)I had bought several 4 lb. bags of white quinoa from another company via Amazon. The cost was around $4/lb. Buying 10 lb. of this brand is around $3/lb. And buying 25 lb is $2.50/lb.But what if the bag breaks during shipping? Well, it comes in a double walled bag that is sewn shut, and the whole kit is then placed in a box. So it arrived intact. But what if bugs are in the bag? There are reports of bugs being found in quinoa. I've never found even one after buying what I'd estimate are hundreds of pounds of quinoa over years. One site for bug checking suggested buying a sieve to check for bugs.I bought on Amazon a fine sieve which the seller says is a 30 mesh strainer. I put some quinoa in from the 25 lb. bag. Shook it. What seems like chaff fell through. I magnified it and it still seemed to be just that: chaff, unmoving. So I'm pretty confident there are no bugs. So: no downsides of a broken bag and/or bugs. An upside of saving money. But what about storage? After opening the bag, I rolled the top of the bag closed and put the bag inside two plastic bags (Hippo bags, also bought on Amazon). The Hippos have handles which can be used to tie the plastic bag shut and that's how I store the quinoa. Now, the 25 lb. bag is not a bag like the 5 or 10 lb. bags where it's possible to just lift and pour the quinoa out as needed. I mean, it is possible with the 25 lb. bag but a little trickier. So here's where a metal one cup scoop with a pointy tip usually used for flour comes in handy. And of course the scoop can be gotten on Amazon.===original review on tri-color===[5 stars]Title: I can say I was thereQuinoa is a staple in my diet. I usually buy the white variety. First time buying the tri-color.The cooking time for each color varies. So it was a little tricky working out a techique to cook the tri-color quinoa. Experimented with the amounts of water added and cooking time (including just letting the quinoa sit with no heat after bringing to a boil.)I'm going back to white quinoa and just ordered some. But I'm glad I tri-ed the tri-color. Might revisit it at some future point.
