Scraper, 2-1/2 In. W, Carbon Steel

Nothing worse than a cheap putty knife. This is top quality and should last many years - unlike the cheaper ones at the big box stores. Happy with purchase and was shipped quickly. Will try other sizes from this brand in the future.

Lower 1/3 of blade has good flex to help with scraping and laying in putty. Blade is not as thick as most with no flex or so thin it flexes all the way to the handle. Good design with a stout handle which you can use a small hammer to help with getting out the crude. Makes a good gasket scraper also. Easily sharpened to scrape heavy paint on glass also.

This tool surprised me, it works extremely well if you have one layer (two coats) flaky cracked brittle paint. Thats where it shines. I easily removed paint down to the wood on most all my siding quickly with this. It did not work well on very old trim/fascia paint (3 layers with bottom layer probably old oil based) because you could either gouge the wood easily or it would just slip over the paint. That either got removed with a heat gun or got sanded with a 5 inch power sander.

I work on old homes all the time and have found this product line to be a very good. The flex putty knife's blade is very flexable and best for what its named for.... putty or other fillers. If looking for a blade/putty knife to use on scaping old praint...go with the Purdy stiffer blade. It's much less likely to gouge the wood, while chipping/scraping off the paint. hard hammerhead is an extra plus.

I use this to remove prints from my SLA printer. It is nice and thin and flexible. Much better than the knife that came with the printer. That one sliced my fingers from sharp edges. This one is comfortable and feels durable.

I have several versions of these, in general. This one has a sharp edge, which is immensely useful to get off the dried paint. It it sturdy and solid. The grip is especially exceptional. I’m glad I got it. The only complaint... which is no big deal, is they put a sticker on the metal. I wish companies would not do this because it can be tough to get off at times without heat or possibly chemicals

Used to deep-clean my pellet smoker, this little scraper did its job very well. Feels comfortable in-hand and durable enough for my job, I have nothing negative to say about it. Very easily scraped away the grease/grime build-up that had caked on to my heat shield, grease chute, and whatever the alien slime was that was clinging to the walls inside my smoker.

Amazing! Needed something to scrape around outdoor windows and sills. I purchased a couple of difference products but they didn’t work very well. I decided to try one more purchase, buying this scraper. I couldn’t be happier with it. Makes the job so much easier. Would highly recommend.

Best knife love it

Great for scraping back loose paint, with the design and knob front to add pressure makes work easier. I love tools that make things easier.
