You put this in the base of the air popper and pop, and it doesn’t leave the popcorn greasy. Now if you want buttered popcorn, you can pour some on top of the popcorn without adding too many calories. If you’re a “butter for buttered popcorn” purist, this won’t satisfy. It doesn’t taste like butter - more like margarine - but we love it. It adds a bit of flavor and it helps the salt stick to the popcorn.

Tastes delicious, coats well, doesn't make my popcorn shrink like butter does. Plus it's healthy and VERY low carb which is important for me as I am diabetic. I know, popcorn is almost nothing but carbs, I shouldn't be eating it. Everybody's gotta have a vice. Mines popcorn. And I can't eat my popcorn without butter flavored soy oil.

I rarely review, but if you are going to buy 6 bottles of this stuff I figure I should at least let people know my experience. I saw all the mixed reviews prior to purchase, but chalked it up to different tastes. I bought the stuff b/c I REALLY wanted good tasting popcorn...Well, my experience was not bad like some reviews said, I just found it had no taste at all. So, I've found an alternative use for it, I use if in cooking when the soybean oil will suffice. Seems to be working well for that, hence the 3-star review.Update: 09/06/2020For the longest time I couldn't figure out why so many people loved the flavor of this stuff and other people said no flavor at all. I ran out of butter to use on my popcorn so I tried this again, lo and behold tasted just like the stuff at the movie theater . The difference? I added salt! and not much just a little sprinkle tossed it around and BOOM. I don't add salt to the buttered popcorn, so I just didn't do it with the oil. Try it you will be so happy. And the price is great for the 6 bottles.

My sister clued me into this stuff, when making your own popcorn, vs. those microwave bags. TO be clear, I love popcorn in most formats, including good microwave bags. But I wanted to try something different so I got a warehouse sized kernel bin (same brand).Oh wow how good the popcorn was! At the urge of my sister I bought a single bottle of this to "try it out". I used it to stove pop in and to top the pop corn. OMG so good!I've since gotten one of those silicone microwave bowls, and use that thing almost daily. It's not as good as stove top, but faster to make and faster to clean up. Still better than the bags.What I do is 3 "layers" of oil and salt. Then toss each layer to mix. I usually get about 8-10 large batches per bottle.Value? the local grocery store sells the individual bottles at around 5 bucks. So getting this on subscribe and save (every 6 months for me) drops it to like half that price. I felt a little nuts getting 6 bottles, but months later I still use them and have only 2 left. They don't take a lot of space up in the pantry.Oh and flavor ... like most things, you need salt for flavor. Don't be afraid of large pinches, I assure you it is still way less than processed popcorn bags.I don't think I'll ever go back to the bags now. This has become my go to night snack (I tell myself it's roughage so it's healthy).
