Trader Joe's Nespresso Compatible Espresso Lungo and Ristretto Sampler Capsules 1.8 oz Ground Coffee (Sampler 20 Capsules)

The coffee is reasonably priced, and tastes good, but the capsule is too big. It's very hard to close the machine. Now, when I put a genuine pod, it's too loose, and water leaks straight down to the tray with very little amount of coffee. I ended up buying a new machine.

I've been trying different Nespresso compatible capsules and once I found out Trader Joe's had these I ran down to my local store and picked up two boxes of the Ristretto. I wish I bought every box they had! These are GREAT! I think these taste every bit as good as the Nespresso brand. They seem to work just fine in my machine. No flow prolems like some other compatible capsules.

They taste good but the pod doesn't fit well, always have coffee juice in the bin afterwards. :(

I wanted to like these (which I purchased in my local Trader Joe) but almost every time they did not fit well, sometimes falling straight into the bin for used capsules, and almost always I had to press really hard to close the machine, which made me worry I was going to break the lever. The taste was not as good as Nespresso but I would have tolerated this if it was not such a battle to use them.

I recently been purchasing my pods from . Peet's! 3 ten capsules $20 but for $3.99 TJ's! ! These are awesome highly recommend.

They are $4.99 at the Trader Joe's store...The coffee is good. I think the best off brand Nespresso pods.

* REVIEW UPDATE :Since originally posting this review - we have ordered & tried the Amazon Brand Solimo Espresso Capsules - & find they are a reasonable 'VALUE' priced replacement for the now UNACCEPTABLE TJ's ones - & at an even lower per unit price!Bye, bye - inferior / unacceptable / UNDRINKABLE & MASSIVELY DOWNGRADED TJ's Espresso 'Coffee' Capsules!* ORIGINAL REVIEW - BELOW :Horrible!Been buying these locally for years as a lower cost supplement to the much better PEET's Capsules, & the Nespresso ones.Apx Oct 2020 - they CHANGED the item to a "GREEN" product - no more:1. former Aluminium freshness Cover - now paper fiber?2. former 5x2 capsules freshness sealed in a plastic bag - now no bag - paper fiber capsule sitting on the cardboard box - yeah ought to preserve any residual freshness = NOT!3. Coffee changed? dunno - but what was once was a minimally acceptable BUDGET alternative to the Premium PEETs or Nespresso offerings - is now UNDRINKABLE - imo.Green? I guess so - we won't be using them at all = SUPER GREEN!Best.
