Deep Purple: Purple Rainbows

Arrived in absolutely gorgeous condition. Jewel case, booklet and disc itself all in perfect condition. Really pleased with my purchase. The disc actually looks like it has never been played. Will definitely continue ordering from this supplier. I highly recommend. Thank you.

any heavy rock lovers will go mad for this disc some real classics on it, just be careful when playing it in the car, the blue lights behind are not part of the package

Great Album 💕

Purple Rainbows is a classic classic rock compilation, without a doubt, although arguably it falls short of being a "definitive rock history" and "best of", which it claims to be.  Starting with Deep Purple's "Black Night", the tracks are listed roughly chronologically through to the re-done "Hush" from 1988.  OK, so it isn't perfect (what compilation is?) but it includes some great tracks, with a commercial 'hit single' emphasis - including from Rainbow, Whitesnake, Graham Bonnet and Dio - making it highly listenable.  The Purple tracks are from the Ian Gillan period/s which, for many, defined the band.  Personally, I would have liked to have had "Burn" included from the Coverdale/Hughes line-up and would have preferred the original "Hush" from the band's 1968 debut.  But having easy access to many of my fave Purple songs, plus most of the others here is just about good enough for me.  What also makes this disc a clear winner for die-hard fans is the 'booklet' - an 8 'page' fold-out of one of Pete Frame's famous rock family trees, tracing the bands' histories.  A fascinating fact - Ritchie Blackmore's pre Purple band, The Outlaws, featured the late great Chas Hodges (later of Chas 'n' Dave fame) on bass!

The packaging was neat and safe and my friend was delighted to receive this CD and was very pleased when he played it.
