Must have of you have guinea pigs.
I got this for emergency base for guinea pigs. Comes really fresh, there is no hardness to it, the first couple of stages is not chewable but as you make it thicker guinea pigs will chew it up. Works very well when your in a critical moment with a baby. Always have on hand if your breeding guinea pigs or own them. Good for babies in need or much older piggies who are having a hard time eating due to age. I also use this for wildlife.

Great stuff for emergencies
But it doesn't push easily in a syringe unless it's very liquid. An alternative in our case was to mix a small amount with one bit of chopped cantaloupe. Worked like a charm. Our guinea who is older and slowing down devoured it, which was the goal.

Saved my bunny’s life
This product most definitely just saved my bunny’s life! She was not eating, moving, or pooping for 36 hours. She was most definitely in GI stasis. I was panicking trying to figure out what to do to make her feel better. I tried this and almost immediately after, she started drinking water and eating bits of hay. By the next day she was eating and running around like normal again. I am so grateful for this stuff, I recommend to always have this on hand in case of emergencies with your small pet.

This is truly a miracle in a bag for rabbits
Our 7 year old rabbit developed sore hocks that started bothering him so we decided to take him to the vet to get them checked out. Turns out that not only did he have those but a multitude of other health issues that really surprised us since he was still eating a lot and was active. They said he would not live thru that night and needed to be admitted. We decided to get a second opinion and the first vet gave us pain and antibiotic meds and small bag of critical care to take home. The second vet also said the same thing, even offering to cremate him for free on the spot! We were incredibly saddened and surprised that these vets couldn't do anything to help our little guy. We decided that if we couldn't be in the room with him at the time of his passing (Because of COVID) that we would take him home to pass with us. It was heartbreaking but we made him as comfortable as possible. We think the shock of being handled by so many people without us there really affected him to the point he couldn't walk and would just lay there. What surprised us was that he kept eating...A LOT. We fed him romaine and critical care two-three times a day. After almost two weeks he made a FULL recovery and was walking and running on his own. His sores were still there but with a lot of treatment they were manageable, thanks to another amazon product Vetericyn. We give it to critical care for sustaining our bunny and keeping him alive. Often times our bunny disliked drinking water and eating hay so this really supplemented that part of his diet and really gave him all the nutrients to bounce right back. He absolutely loves this stuff and we feed this to him as a treat at the end of the day to help with water intake or hay.We love this product. It is truly a miracle product. Please don't stop making this!

Chinchilla loves this but a little pricey.
So my chinchilla is about 9 years old and has developed some teeth problems. We have periodically had to have the vet put him under and grind down some sharp edges. The vet gave us a small bag of this and once he realized it tasted good, we no longer had to force feed the poor little guy. After a few days of the syringe feeding, we would make moist balls of this and put it in his bowl for quicker and cleaner meals.Overall, this food really helped put his weight back on very quickly. It smells really good and he likes it. When his teeth were at the worst and he stopped eating all together, he dropped to around 425 grams. A few weeks after the teeth grinding for a checkup, he was over 500 grams.I took off a star for cost which comes in at about $22/lb. To save on cost, we now buy Oxbow Essentials Chinchilla food and grind it down in a food processor. Then make the same moist balls with a 1:4 Critical Care to Essentials mix. You have to do it once or twice a day because the balls dry out.

Must buy!
This is a must for your guinea pig’s emergency kit. Better to have it on hand than wait to buy when you need it, because by the time you need it, it may be too late.

Easy to prepare
My bunny's health is not well at this time. After doing a google search I decided to try this product. It's a decent size and the value for my money was fair. She's been on it for about a week and I can already see a difference in her appearance. She seems to be functioning better especially her hopping.
