Who Built the Moon?

This book provides mathematical evidence that is solid. The author uses this information to take you on a journey that is far outside the box of everyday thinking. Many people might be uncomfortable with the profound implications of his findings. Many people laugh, scoff and dismiss these things because to them, these topics are uncomfortable and distract them from the toils of everyday life. However, the author presents his case very well, and one must consider the possibilities. The important aspect about this wonderful book is that it gets you thinking. It stretches the borders of your imagination. Did you ever imagine that the moon might indeed be hollow, or synthetically created? The author lays out the numbers, and sure enough, there are startling "coincidences" present in the Earth/Moon System that are nowhere else in the solar system. A great author once wrote, "Coincidence is a glimpse into a pattern otherwise hidden." The author provides us many glimpses into the nature of Earth's essential traveling companion. Further, if you take the knowledge provided in this book, combine it with researching the facts about a possibly faked moon landing, and some of Richard C. Hoagland's findings involving monuments on Mars, artifacts on our moon, and Saturn's moon Iapetus, a broader picture is suggested. This book is a great starting point for research into evidence of a forgotten, ancient past. The world as we know it may perhaps be far stranger than we ever imagined. The greatest monument ever created might just be staring down upon us from the nearby sky...

Very interesting, very well researched and very entertaining right up until the authors try to answer their own question, at which point speculation takes over and I started to wish the book would have ended sooner. It was a very thought provoking question given the evidence presented, in my opinion it should have been left as a question, because I found the answer proposed by the authors to be disappointing, and thus anticlimactic, due to the extremely high level of conjecture. Having said that, I would like to commend the authors on their discovery of the amazing and unexplainable correlations, and seemingly impossible coincidences, that they offer up for the readers consideration. I really hope that this question provokes thought in scientific circles and instigates debate that might eventually shine some light on who, or what, built the moon.

Very intriguing and well written with a very surprising conclusion. I have purchased several copies of this book over the years to give to friends and colleagues.

OK read; though not as the title "advertised" or as expected: The first half would lead reader to assume that the author(s) had reached and had adequate support for a definitive answer as to origin of moon. This is not the case as the second half leaves the reader disappointed. This book, additionally, needs a serious proof-reading. There are several obvious numerical errors which should have been caught during editing, and poor choice of words; for example, saying that the moon (or the earth or the sun for that matter) is so many times "the size" of the other is needlessly vague. What do the authors mean - size ? This word is used many times. What is meant by saying the sun is 400 times the size of the moon ? That's a ridulous statement Despite its shotcomings, the information is both timely and tangentially important for humans to understand while time remains for such knowledge to be linked to an understanding of a comprehensive reality. I believe that humanity is on the threshold of a sweeping, transformative epiphany without parallel in all of history; a truly stupendous and agonizing 'spiritual' revolution over the next 30 or 40 years will usher in a true Age of Light and Enlightenment. Hitherto seeming impossibilities will become recognized as commonplace. What remains of humanity will be transformed and moved away from the domination of materialistic scientism. It will be an upheaval of all that has been broadly percieved and believed. The Abrahamic religions will be swept aside as will atheism. Humans able to make the transition will recognize themselves as part and parcel of one spiritual creation. Everything is the same. Humanity is also on the verge of oblivion.

The science behind this book and the compilation of research presented is interesting. Astronomers consider this work a "fringe theory" as it departs from the commonly accepted origins of the moon: being "The Giant Impact" hypothesis, in which a collision between the early Earth and a Mars-sized body created a debris ring that coalesced to form the Moon. HOWEVER, Knight and Butler look at numerous other science experiments that strongly challenge long-held assumptions and uncover statistically improbable (?) numerical coincidences, to draw a very different conclusion, challenging longstanding dogma. I REALLY FOUND THIS BOOK FASCINATING....and you should too!

The best book I’ve ever read on the subject of extra-terrestrial “tinkering” in earthly affairs! What I most appreciate is the long succession of mathematical facts about the moon and its relationship to our Earth and the sun. In their entirety, these minutely balanced ratios simply cannot be the result of chance—the possibility of such a series of accidents would be truly astronomical. There’s no, “Could it be that...” or, “We have to wonder if...” in the tendentious style of ANCIENT ALIENS. The occasional ironic indulgence of a religious perspective struck me as a bit condescending, for there ARE believers who do not consider Genesis a science textbook and feel comfortable yielding unto Caesar what is Caesar’s; but I can also understand the temptation to be a tad snarky in that direction, since the other kind of believer can be pretty overpowering. The main carry-away here is just that our remarkable satellite’s dimensions, her location, her rhythms and motions (the authors steer clear of mentioning the controversial “hollow gong” supposedly registered when NASA deliberately crashed an orbiter into the lunar surface)... all of this ineluctably points to a phenomenon that cannot be perfectly natural and accidental. Most other “ET” books do a disservice to this thesis by advancing evidence that invites ridicule. This one faces us with facts that can’t be explained away.

I had previously read two other books by Chris Knight -- so was expecting to be impressed. I was not disappointed. The authors present a totally convincing case that the moon cannot possibly be natural -- and must have been engineered, though exactly how this was done remains a mystery. I was surprised that the authors do not discuss the backside of he moon which never faces earth and, thus, appears to be the logical place to look for answers about who, what and how. I also agree with other reviewers who express frustration with the authors, who after succeeding so magnificently in presenting the case for lunar artificiality, then stumble in the final chapters, in which they discount Mr E.T. and try to make a case for time travel that is just silly. I was also puzzled that the authors make no mention of '"intelligent design" and "directed panspermia", which was the theory favored by Sr Francis Crick, co-discoverer of DNA, and by Fred Hoyle, the imminent mathematician and astronomer who was right about so many things. Once it is understood that life came (or was brought) to earth from elsewhere, it is not necessary to expect that we will unravel the deeper mystery of how life originally was formed. It is enough to know it happened somewhere, somehow, once upon a time. The authors would have done well to pay closer heed to Hoyle's views about G-d versus Mr. E.T. Point being that the extra-terrestrial civilization that undoubtedly was responsible for installing the moon was/is so far advanced beyond we humans as to appear as gods. This said, our human race, though at a technological and scientific crawling stage, nonetheless regularly produces highly evolved saints such as Krishna and Jesus, beings with a direct connection to G-d. And Mr. E.T. is surely aware of this fact, even if the authors are not. Our human potential for the divine may even be what most fascinates E.T. about us, and why he keeps returning to our planet.

I am reading this book through once and will read it again. Facts and science are described in a way that average person can understand, and it's INTERESTING. Some of the ancient history regarding the "math" is fascinating...Im able to see the math of the cosmos totally differently, and in an organic way. Having laid out the math and science about the moon, which i was able to grasp, the writers then go into what it all means, and they do this without falling into wild fantasy or imaginings. There is speculation, but reasoned and developed, and in such a way that one is not required to buy into any particular belief system to read and follow. I've read many books about the moon and cosmos and many I just put aside when they sink into indescribable wonky science and stuff I have to keep looking up, , or when a speculation is put forth without real thought. Im very impressed.

I'm only three quarters of the way through this book and my mind has been blown a number of times. Really appreciating the mix of hard research and exploration of all angles. Giving me a lot of food for thought.

Wer sich in die Randbereiche der Quantenmechanik und die Grenzen der Relativitätstheorie, Dunkle Materie, Dunkle Energie und sonstiges Faszinierende fortwährend aussetzt, sollte für jeden Gedankengang offen sein, der aktuellen Vorstellungen bisschen die Luft ins Gesicht pustet. I was first introduced to this mystery when I read William Neil's "How we were Made". Neither Neil nor Knight and Butler posit ET as the architect of the overly providential and serendipitous mechanism of the Earth, Moon Sun system. When you consider all the measurements and unlikely coincidences involved, the truth is blindingly obvious. Why does the moon cover the sun so exactly during a solar eclipse? Why are all of our measuring systems based on the dimensions of the Earth Moon and Sun? Knight and Butler go further than Neil, stating with the benefit of later research that the Moon is in fact the incubator and regulator of all life on Earth. Knight and Butler are willing to consider the possibility that God was responsible, but then, because many of these numerical synchronicities involve the metric base ten which stems from the use of ten fingers, they suggest that human beings were the creators of the Moon. They quote scripture to back up this thesis; as it is written, "God created man in his own image". Knight and Butler are anxious not to be lumped together with Creationists, but how could man have created the moon 4.6 billion years ago? The answer they give is that at some point in the future, humans will go back billions of years in time to engineer the moon, returning at crucial moments in history to assist in man's evolution and cultural development. The ET hypothesis is also considered; but Knight and Butler dismiss this idea rather pre- emptorily, suggesting that ufos are mere hallucinations. They reference contemporary physicists who are willing to entertain the idea of time travel citing The New Scientist as a source. 2001 a Space Oddesey is mentioned more than once and the theory that if extra- terrestrials wanted to contact us they would not use slow radio signals but would more likely leave obvious physical traces of visitation. There are a lot of large numbers in this book as one would expect when considering a civilization capable of engineering planetary systems and life on a timescale of billions of years. The engineering extends to the control of the Earth's axis of rotation and tides, all crucial to the development of life. Knight and Butler say that humans are in a kind of time loop and that when, once again man goes back in time to supervise his own creation, then humans will enter a new phase of cosmic development. Altogether an exciting and thought provoking book!
