Shonti Premium Quality Middle Eastern Turkish Baklava & Pastery, 54Piece

It has been a long time since I have had Baklava and so thought I would order some. Was a bit apprehensive about ordering it but there is NO PLACE near me that has any, not like when I lived in Chicago area. I was pleasantly surprised when I got the package and opened it up. WOW!! There was alot more then I thought there would be. The many layers of phyllo dough was golden and delicious along with the sweet ground walnuts with honey. Well worth the buy!!

This sheet of pastries was clearly frozen at one point in time, but arrived to me completely thawed and a mess in the packaging. This ruined the texture of the dessert. It was virtually inedible.

This is a syrupy baklava so it is quite sweet. Unfortunately it was not packed well so all the pieces slid to one side. Most were smashed.

They were soggy, no matter what I did to heat them. The flavor was great.

Fabulous flavor, flaky yet moist — will definitely order again. This was surprisingly far better than fresh, locally made baklava.

First this was not fresh... and it was poorly packed and did not take into account the rough handling during transport. The pieces slid to one side and got squashed under pressure... Also, the Phyllo dough of the Baklawa needs to be gently sprayed with syrup to give it the sweetness but to also maintain the crunchiness... This was completely doused in syrup.... the syrup was just simple syrup (sugar and water - no flavors)… and the phyllo dough tasted like bread doused in simple Syrup... Again this is NOT quality Baklava...

Way more than I thought for the money... I enjoyed every bit😍
