Does the moisture reading remain on the screen for a few seconds, long enough to remove it from the soil and raise it to read?

I usually try to read it when it first pops up and it’s still in the soil. You do have a few seconds to catch the read once you pull it out. This device was a game changer for me. Stopped me from over watering

Can I use this device to measure the % of water of my mix raw materials, usually minerals like phospathe, calcim etc?

No only gives dry, medium,wet no ppm plus mine never worked anyway

Mine only displays 0.0 no matter what I do. What is happening?

I find that it will also do this (read 0.0) if it is very wet, above 9.9. If you check back in a day or two you may find that it is reading something like 8.5 etc.
