An awesome way to get those beginning a new language to engaged and having FUN!
My students (junior high) tried out a game for me to see if it was something they could be interested in. Here's what they thought:PROS-good value for the money as it comes with 4 decks of Kloo language cards (I had explained to them how much the game costs and how much the decks cost. Also, that their review of it would determine my spending money to buy more. They are BRUTALLY honest when it comes to telling me if something is engaging or not and/or worth spending time AND money on).-4 largish decks meant that they could use just the one and then could switch it up when they had thoroughly learned the one, so they wouldn't get bored too fast.-it works well to last just a short while or can lost longer...so they aren't bored.-makes for a nice change to learn independently-they like the squares that allowed them to challenge their classmates (I have a REALLY competitive bunch this year)-the game gave different ways to play, again, they wouldn't get bored too easily (noticing a theme happening here with my students...)-any one can play, no matter their level of French (i.e. mixed levels can play together)-you can play with just the decks and break down into smaller groups-(this PRO is mine) they have free extension cards and a vocab list on their websiteCONS-only 4 player pieces, which means either adding pieces from other game sets or buying multiple game boards (which can be limiting given the budgets teachers are given) to have a whole classroom playing.-"what about more decks?" was a question one of my students asked. "Depending on how often we play, won't we eventually memorize all the decks?" 'YAY! That would be great', I thought. But it is conceivably a problem, if you play the game a lot.My only suggestion - for classroom play, I would like to have more that 4 racing cars. The next time I bring it to class I will need to add in some monopoly pieces so that more people can play.

Fun game that all levels can play
I played this with 2 teenage granddaughters - one who has 2 years of high school French,(about my level too), and the other who has studied Spanish but no French. The non- French speaking granddaughter won! It was hilarious to see how fast she caught on to the strategy, how easily she picked up vocabulary! The other granddaughter and I were taken off guard - there was definitely a factor of not being dealt the cards to make a longer sentence, but the cool thing is that we were all on equal ground. We learned a ton, and were all able to play together. Can't wait to order the Spanish version too.

Sentence-Builder Game
This is such a great idea - learning to put a sentence together with cards and racing around the board! It's a bit like magnetic poetry and without knowing it, our students are learning about nouns and verbs. To help our beginning students, we put out language dictionaries. Although only four people can play at a time, our students pair up to help each other and race against the other teams. Wish they will help each other tidy away the game because often the 4 decks of cards get mixed up. Perhaps if the 4 decks had different backing, it will be easier to prevent the cards from being mixed up. You are suppose to play one deck at a time but you know what students are like, they like to look through the other cards while waiting for their turn.

Fabulously fun and SNEAKY way to teach/learn language!
This is such a fun and engaging game that participants don't notice that they're learning! This is why I loved using this game in my French classes (all levels). While I am no longer teaching French (bought my first game in 2014 and writing the review in 2017), I searched high and low to get an English-language version (Race to London) to use with my English language learners that I'm teaching now. Another plus is that there are now additional decks that can be downloaded (in addition to the FOUR that you already get with each game). I'm told that they are exploring options to allow one to add their own vocabulary to the game....the fun really never stops. You will not regret buying a KLOO game.
