Nice case, but some issues so far
UPDATE: This case has ended up in the junk drawer. I just couldn't hack not being able to turn the silent switch off an on with a finger and I got tired of not being able to use the phone with any headphone or speaker jacks besides my supplied Apple headphones. It was sturdy enough, but just didn't meet my needs. This case arrived the day before I expected it, which was awesome. The 5c is literally a slick phone and really needs a case. It is very hard to keep in one's hand. I don't understand what this trend is with smartphones -- maybe it's so third-party vendors can sell more cases. The case comes in two layers and fits very snugly. The bottom layer is a thin shell that surrounds the phone and does not obstruct the screen. The top layer is a strange cutout layer that gives the case more grip. It's easier to see this in the two-tone cases by the same seller. Since there's no reason to take the phone apart, the case is pretty much a permanent installation once you get it on the phone. The texture is OK. In tests against my previous Android phone and its very inexpensive case, the phone in this case slid around a lot more on surfaces that I set both of them down on. This one is not rubberized, so more likely to slide on any slanted, smooth surface. The case does not include a screen protector, which was kind of disappointing. There are buttons embedded within the case so you can press the volume and the top button on the phone through the case. That's a pretty nice design feature, and one that I hope doesn't lose functionality over time. Unfortunately, the 5c also has a toggle switch above the volume controls that toggles the ringer on and off. While there is a cutout in this case for that, it's now almost impossible to toggle without a ball-point pen or other small object. Also, though the supplied Apple headphones fit through the case into the jack, other speaker jacks that are wider than iPhone headphones will NOT seat into the jack because the thickness of the case blocks them from doing so. I am unwilling to take the case off just to use one set of my speakers. I haven't tested it out with other connectors I have in the house, but the cutout in the case is small enough that I expect most normal speaker cords are NOT going to fit.Overall, I have to give this case a bit more time and see how annoying these two drawbacks are with this phone. Constantly having to look for an implement to toggle silent mode on and off may get old quickly. And, while I have one set of speakers in my house connected via Air Play and can use the phone that way, the other set I use equally as often with a cord is the one that doesn't fit through this case. It may send me to buy a smaller, male-female adapter just so I can play music from the phone. I suppose if I find a solution that's easier, I will come back to update my solution.Pros: Inexpensive and sturdy, most buttons, screen, and camera fully accessible.Cons: Toggle button and headphone jack not as accessible with the case on.

Eh....
This case is just OK. Since it is a two piece, one rubber piece, with a harder piece which snaps over it. The inner piece is a hard rubber. Just flexible enough to slip onto the phone but nut rubbery like a gel case. The outer piece has a cutout pattern along the back so it alternates with the exposed portions of the inner case.I was hoping it would have a decent grip to it. It is quite slick, which to me makes it just as prone to slip from your hand as a naked iPhone. Obviously it'll have more protection than an uncovered phone. All the buttons line up perfectly and function well. The ports are all accessible and there is the slightest rise to the front of the case, so if you put the phone face down it will be just out of contact with a surface like a table. The volume buttons are covered by the case with a membrane. The ringer/mute switch remains exposed and is a little harder to flick than without a case, if you have male adult size fingers.Laying face up on a surface, the case offers just enough friction to keep the phone from being accidently pushed and sliding off the table.Overall, it is a decent case. If you are looking for a less expensive alternative to an Otter or other "armor" 2 piece designs, this is adequate. I didn't rate it higher as I was hoping for just a little more resistance when its in my hands. It is just too slick. I just got it today, so I will update the review in a week or two, should it become less slippery as it wears in.PS - Luvvit backs the case with a lifetime warranty.

Pretty nice
I read a lot of reviews on cases and went with this one. I like it a lot so far. Price is soo much better than other cases and this one feels durable. Doesn't feel like rubber as one person said. It did add a bit of weight to the phone but now it feels safer to hold. No screen protection but I feel if I were to drop it I'd be ok. Went for this over otterbox and am happy I did. I hate the idea of spending tons of money on a phone. I'd buy this one again and recommend to others. Edit one week in ........ For women who wear foundation, it seems to rub off pretty easily on the black case. I don't wear a lot of makeup but have been cleaning case often because it looks kinda gross with makeup sticking to it. For this reason alone I may have reconsidered this purchase .

BEST CASE FOR THIS PRICE RANGE
I give this case a rating of 9/10.Pros:Case fits incredibly snug on phone, so it won't come off easily.Case has two different layers - one hard plastic, one a durable, hard rubber-like plastic. The two layers work together to add more protection to your precious phone. The case does not prevent chargers/earphones from being plugged in.It's a very slim case, so it will not make your phone bulky.Cons:Incredibly hard to take off. If you need to replace the case, or even take it off for any reason, prepare to struggle with it.It took me a solid 20 minutes to line up the case just right so it wasn't holding down the Lock Button. If it's not aligned just right, it'll hold it down and you'll keep getting the "Power Off?" screen on your iPhone. It has no screen protector (but it really isn't a "con" since it's not supposed to have one anyway)OVERVIEW:This case is great. Does it offer as much protection as other, more expensive cases? No. Is it great for the price? ABSOLUTELY! The price is unbeatable!
