Great for beginners especially if you do not know how dedicated you will be to knitting. Very versatile. Variety of sized for most any project. If you choose to knitting long term you will eventually find a favorite brand and style. However going out of pocket cost initially this is definitely your best bet. For more seasoned, choosy knitters this is NOT the set you would want.

I loved these so much (even though the cable snagged a bit on the yarn). But then the cable broke, snapped off the metal grommet that screws into the needle. It snapped mid row/ about 120 stitches into a 234 stitch row. :(3 rows later, a second cable broke. Keep in mind, I never lift the project by the needles or cables. I’ve been very careful.Now I am short 2 cables.

Was excited to receive this, however the needles keep unscrewing as I am knitting causing the stitches to come out. Not very happy with it. Wish they would stay screwed. If they would then I would love it.

I love the idea of this set and it has every size you could ever need as a knitter. My BIG frustration with this set is that one of the size 7s and 8s doesn’t screw down so it leaves a gap that yarn gets caught in constantly! If not for those two issues this would be a 5 star set for sure.

This kit was great for someone who wants to learn to knit without risking $50+ on a brand name set. I haven't tried the larger needles yet but medium and small-sized needles work fine with the cord as long as you're okay with re-screwing them from time to time.One big issue I had with it though is that the place where the metal connector and the cord meets is not smoothed out and yarn gets snagged on it *way* too often. Having to put down my needles and unsnag the yarn every couple of minutes gets annoying pretty quickly.I would not recommend this kit to intermediate/experienced knitters, but if you're just looking to try knitting for the first time without breaking the bank, this is a good choice.

I liked the length of cords and I like how the storage case has the size on top where you can slide needles back into place! I also liked how many different sizes there are! But when I used them it snags the yarn where the needle and plastic cord connects! I tried loosening how tight I make my stitches and ive tried it with different yarns but they all snag so I eneded up buying a whole new set more exspensive but it doesn't snag at all! the manufacturer really needs to fix this issue!

where the cable is crimped to the threaded end often snags as it is not a smooth transition between them. As this was the first set of interchangeable needles I did not notice the issue as I was learning(was learning to keep the needle on). I bought a second set to see if this was a real issue and the most of the cables in the second set have the same issue. It is much cheaper than some of the other sets and if you do not mind picking the yarn over this area in clusters to advance towards the needle it is no issue. I will be buying a set from another company (more expensive) I have made a few hats with these so I have worked with them. The cable is flexible enough to stay with the same set of cables through the entire hat and not need to change over to DPN to work the crown and close the cap. Eh it has pluses and minuses
