Solid napkins for family use
I purchased these cloth napkins to eliminate buying paper napkins for our meals at home. We've used them for several months, and I've been very satisfied with their performance. The fabric is what you'd expect from a cotton/linen blend of this quality. They aren't the smoothest, most lovely napkins. The have some small (totally normal) slubs. They aren't rough but they do have some texture. They clean up hands, faces, and little spills pretty well. The beige color looks earthy and hides some stains. The hems are well stitched, and I haven't noticed any loose threads. They are a bit of a chore to wash and dry. I wash them with my regular towels, but I hang them to dry. If they go in the dryer, they come out terribly wrinkled and misshapen (not permanently, just until they're wet again). I absolutely refuse to take out the ironing board for napkins, so I hang them to dry instead. I take a little time to shape them, then hang them up to dry. The extra effort helps them keep their shape and dry relatively flat and smooth. These are a good buy - decent quality at a good price. I would definitely buy more.

Delighted
Awhile back, I began moving away from using paper napkins at the dinner table. We're home full time, whether working or not, and so it seemed like the responsible thing to do, use cloth instead of disposable paper products. I wasn't sure whether I'd be satisfied with the amount of extra laundry it would require, or whether they would be usable without ironing.I'm happy to say that I never iron the napkins, and since we can each use our own cloth napkin several times before we have to wash it, the laundry required is very reasonable. But the last ones I purchased are beginning to wear out, after several years of constant use, and they are no longer for sale, so I had to choose new ones. These are the ones I chose. The size of these things is luxurious; in fact, since I am not a large person, if they were any bigger, it would be a problem. (See my picture; the napkin almost covers the top of my clothes dryer!) They're big enough to use as a placemat (although they are square, not rectangular,) and sometimes if I am just having a sandwich for lunch, I'll use one in place of a plate. They're gorgeous, thick, and didn't shrink in the dryer. The wrinkling is minimal, and if you look at the corners (see picture,) they're beautifully crafted, too! Although I purchased these for daily use, I would be completely comfortable using them for a company dinner--although if it were something formal, I might go ahead and iron them.Highly recommended!

Nice napkins good fabric
Really cute and simple. I did wash and dry on a normal heat cycle and they only needed minimal ironing. My previous napkins would get so wrinkly every single time it was driving me crazy. They would go nice with a lot of different themes/colors so I think they would be a good fit for dinner parties and every day use.

Good!
These are so cute and a great material! However because of the material, I would not say they are absorbent at all! The border is very sturdy and does not seem cheap at all

Be Prepared to Starch and Iron
These will shrink around the edge and come out of the laundry wrinkled, a lot. If you do not know how to iron or don't want to, send them to the cleaners for ironing after you wash them. Or, don't buy these, get a polyester that will not be absorbent. If you want a nice napkin after you wash it, do this:Fill a spray bottle with water.Lay out each napkin and spray it with a mist of water, enough to make it damp.Fold or roll it up after spraying and put it in a plastic bag.Do this until you have all the cotton or linen items that you wish to iron.Place the bag, tied shut, in the fridge for up to two days, 24 hours is best. This will disperse the dampness throughout the fabric. When the fabric is damp all the way through, take it out of the fridge and iron it as follows:Fill your iron with water and preheat it to the Cotton or Linen setting.Have your spray bottle of water, sizing or starch handy.First, iron around the edge with the trim facing up, pressing down with the iron, and stretching the edges until they are flat. Flip it over and do the back side too.Second, do the center of the fabric. Flip it and do the front last.If the fabric is too soft and you want it crisp, spray the fabric with sizing or starch as you iron. You want to iron the fabric with lots of steam. Iron it until it feels dry.Once ironed, pile the napkins on a flat surface and let them sit out in the open a few minutes to disperse any remaining moisture. If desired, you can fold them after. If they are too soft, you can use spray fabric sizing or spray starch in place of the water when ironing. Sizing is better as it does not create flakes like starch can do. This will help when you are folding a napkin to stand up.You can iron any piece of clothing this way that is made of Cotton, Wool, or Linen. It takes practice and square flat items are good for that. Don't add starch to wool, sizing is better. These are the real deal, so they take some care and look beautiful for many years. They actually look and the touch/feel is better after washing and ironing. I despise synthetics for any use in the kitchen and dining room. They are useless when it comes to absorbency and heat resistance.

Perfect
I absolutely love the color and texture of the fabric which is perfect for someone like me who has issues with texture. Note to remove stains add Dawn when wash them in the laundry machine. Other than that they wash great.
