ArtBin 6990AB Super Satchel Double Deep Compartment Box - Art Storage with 8 Removable Compartments, Smart Closure for Craft Supplies (Gold- Pack of 1)

I absolutely love these storage bins, which have enabled me to finally get a handle on both my crafting/cross stitch clutter and my electronics clutter. They are good quality, versatile and have a small footprint. I also got the super satchel bobbin boxes (also pictured) that fit right on top. I have seven of them now. I may not be able to stop buying these.

I had been looking for a container big enough to store the many different pistol magazines (forty seven different mags types) that I currently have stored in baggies on my closet shelf or in the safe. When I go to the pistol range, I grab whatever bag of magazines that matches whatever pistols I plan on shooting that day. When I found this container on Amazon I though it would work but was worried that the plastic might be too thin to handle the weight of the various mags. I keep about half of each type of mag loaded with ammo which would increase the weight dramatically. I started to order several but thought I would order just one to see if it worked first. I was pleasantly surprised. The plastic felt sturdy and thick enough to handle the mags easily. I quickly loaded the bin up with the various mags in their individual compartment. Presently I have roughly ten mags of each caliber in the bin with half of those filled with ammo to give you an idea of the weight. The bin handles the weight easily and feels like it would have no trouble being toted around. Granted I have not carried it by the handle any further than the bedroom closet to the kitchen table. I love the removable dividers which will help to store the rifle mags also but wish I could adjust the size of each compartment individually based on the size and number of mags I am placing in that compartment. Considering that this Art Bin is not designed for this, it works remarkable well. I am real happy with it and will be ordering several more. The only negative I have on it is that the latches do not seem overly sturdy as stated in other reviews but so far they work just fine. I doubt I will be it carrying around and will usually just pull it off the shelf and remove what I need and then replace it on the shelf. Might try the single deep also for the smaller mags to fit in. Update: April 4, 2014 - The bin is still working fine for my purposes. I have had one of the latches keep falling off every time I open it. They do go back on easily and I haven't had a problem with them coming off while it is closed. The bin works for me. It is a storage item not a take anywhere item. Since I have purchased this initial one I have also ordered the single deep one to store the smaller mags. It also works perfect for my purposes. Will order another deep one soon for the AR mags.

I have to say these are nice storage boxes. They are roomy but with the dividers it does limit to what you can put into the spaces. It did not work for an art supply box as the space is not big enough for pencils- works for markers and crayons. Doesn't work for big bottles of glue. I would say this box works well for fat quarters for sewing. It holds a lot of miscellaneous items, such as wires, small items you don't want in a junk drawer. The box is sturdy, the lid snaps down well. I just didn't like the fact the dividers couldn't be rearranged to create your own functioning space in the box. You might like the box- just wasn't for me. I did give it to my daughter and she made use of her junk dresser draw, which is now stored in the box- in her closet. So overall a success to have for her.

This is a great container! The dividers were easy to assemble. I use this for storing my polymer clay. As an aside, I keep the clay in baggies, because I don't want to risk any reactions with the plastic, but this container keeps all my clay in one tidy location.

Works fine for what I bought it for, storing different grits of 5" sanding discs. My only complaint is that it only had 5 of the short dividers instead of six as pictured so I have 7 compartments instead of 8 as advertised. Four stars instead of five for the missing piece.

I own several of these because they are so useful. One I use for fabric. It is so nice to be able to sort by color and see what I have on hand for projects. In another one I store my craft paints, modge podge glue, glitter, etc. This container is deep enough for the jars to stand upright. The dividers are very convenient for organizing my supplies. These containers are sturdy, have good closures and stack well.

Perfect size for my orbital sander and all the pads. Very sturdy and easy to carry.

Just the size I was looking for to organize my sewing room.

Good to store larger items. Compartments can be separated in a flexible manner. Note that this is unfortunately not the case for the standard Super Satchel.

Wonderful product. Great to store my 6x6 papers.
