Convenient but expensive
This is a perfectly good product -- it definitely helps the soil retain moisture. But I got it because I have a bad back and wanted it delivered. If you are willing to go to one of the big home stores you can get three times as much for less.

Ok. But different than shown.
What I needed but different than shown.Just note: mix with a little water when disturbing so you don’t breathe it.I use this in my garden. 1 part peat moss, 1 part vermiculite (DON’T use perlite- I tried it. Doesn’t retain water similarly) and 1 part compost blend (mix 3-4 different kinds of compost to equal your blend- any extras just store back in the bags).I docked 2 stars for showing different product. I think that’s important for online shopping to be accurate for trust and reliability.

very good product.
Came properly protected, delivered on time, stored it few month before using it. Only 1 wood stick found in the bag so you are paying for the peat moss and not for debris. Did not rot and has a pleasant smell. I might update within coming three weeks (perenial rye grass seed planted). So far, very good product.

Junk quality....IS NOT peat moss!!!
This product was sooooo disappointing. What they called "peat moss" was dry and clumped together with wood shake, stems, bark and other potting soil type products. THIS was not peat moss!! I get 3 cubic feet of better quality stuff for $10 at Home Depot...this was $20+ after taxes for 1 cubic feet.

Overall Satisfied.
Exactly what I needed for my baby Savannah monitor enclosure, breaks up to quite a bit and when mixed with bark, fills the whole enclosure. I hear it's cheaper in stores like home depot, so I will look for it there before buying another bag here, as it is a bit pricey, but overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase.

great for plants
This peat moss is very nice. I use it for my regular plants but I mostly use it for carnivorous plants. My carnivorous plants thrive in this peat moss cause it doesn't have any harmful fertilizers or things like that.

Works for seed starting but the price is too high.
Fine enough for seed starting. Package size is convenient for seed starting as well but it's very pricey which is why I gave it a lower rating.

Nice clean product
Nice product. Very little extra unwanted bits in the mix. Came tightly compacted. Arrived promptly. Plan on purchasing again.
