Extremely happy with the purchase of this Chopin book! Perfect for any classical pianist who wishes to learn some of Chopins masterpieces!

As my review of the Complete Beethoven Sonatas will probably reveal, I am no expert on modern piano music books. Most of my older student manuscripts open flat without any fight, or even a faint whimper in protest.This one feels a tad easier than the Beethoven book - the spine is differently designed and allows itself to be manipulated.Putting aside any reservations about structure, everything else about this book is fine. It's great value. It's just chock full of all my favourite Chopin Preludes etc, and on a bad day I think I'll never get the hang of them. There are no concessions towards less able pianists such as myself, but in a way that is quite reassuring - as I make progress, I am feeling that it has something to do with my own improving technique, rather than that someone has lowered the bar.Clear print, and on this basis I would be very happy to order other examples in this series (now sizing up the Etudes which I shall no doubt massacre in a similar way).

I’m 5 preludes in so far, nice quality book, book stays open with a bit of a bend. A book to last a lifetime of playing

Didn't play the piano for about 15 years after finishing the music school and now I am happy to find a time to play my favourite classic music like Chopin and Beethoven. Plenty of Preludes, Nocturnes and Waltzes. Don't think it is for beginners. If you have already some skills you can enjoy playing your favourite music. Must have for every music lovers!

Absolutely magical music! The book contains so many pieces which will keep you entertained for an eternity. There are very challenging pieces and some which can be learnt within hours. The nocturnes consist of some of the best classical piano music you will ever hear.

It is kinda hard and i need to practice . This book is really in good condition and very clear printes & notes.

Great music book. It is well organised and printed clearly. I like having all of the Chopin preludes, nocturnes, and waltzes in one book as previously I had them as loose sheet music that was a nightmare to keep track of- this book keeps them all organised and together. I also always like the look of the Schirmer books- the yellow looks very dignified.

I love this Chopin book of preludes, noctrones, and waltzes. I've learned a lot from every song I've played in there and excited to keep learning. Most of the songs are very nicely printed. The binding is not that great, so you might have to step on it for it to stay open. 😉

I love this collection of Chopin pieces. I used to be put off by how hard I heard Chopin pieces were and wasn’t sure I had the ability to do them. But his music is so pleasant to the ears so I wanted to give it a try and so glad I did. Now I can play some of the pieces and really enjoy them!
