What a relief
The fan in our MacBook has been noisy for a few months now and we finally could bear it no longer. This part is an exact replacement and is even made by the same manufacturer as the fan already in the MacBook. Fitting was simple enough - undo the eight case screws underneath, then undo the three torx screws on the fan, disconnect the cable (it lifts up and off), remove old fan and clean some of the dust and fluff out of the vent, then fit new fan, re-assemble - remembering to plug the fan cable in to the logic board(!) and.... bliss! Peace at last!

Prefect, affordable and effective.
Exactly what it says on the tin! My MacBook Pro early 2011 13” fan died on Friday. Ordered this Friday afternoon and it came today (direct from laptopparts2go - free delivery even if under £20!!!)Ten minutes later and the MacBook is reporting the new fan spinning happily at 2000rpm. Only tip I will give is be super careful with the fan connector and it just pushes into place (rather than slide into the connector from the side like you might think).Thank you for eking a few more years out of my MacBook.

Works a treat. Very quiet. Easy to fit
Clear fitting instructions easily found on the web. Quite easy to fit shouldn't take someone more than a few minutes. Take care disconnecting the connector it pulls up you should use a small pry lever (spudger).I imagine it'd be cheap enough if you took it to a repair shop if you're not confident to open the machine up yourself.

Get a proper MacBook screwdriver set
The fans are held in by Torx6 screws, I ordered a set of Apple devices screwdrivers to cover all models and a replacement set of MacBook screws. My original fan had died because of being jammed by - would you believe it..... a toe-nail clipping that had got inside! Gross yes I know. I also purchased some Heatsink paste and a can of compressed air. My Mac is now clean and cool.

Exact match for the old fan
After watching a few videos, took a chance and ordered this fan. Took only a few minutes to swap over and works perfectly. All the labels and part numbers were an exact match for the old one.
