Have used T5 lights for past 8 years and tried many brands. But none can equal Agrobrite.

I bought a hydrofarm seed lighting kit years ago. The bulb finally blew out (about 5 years!) and found this deal on amazon. Works for me, I've started my plants from seeds for years and now with this 4 pack of bulbs, I've got decades to go!

These were pretty solid so I prefer more only thing was 1 was defective out of 8 total but they gave me a refund super fast so definitely recommend these for a t5 bulb replacement

I ordered these on amazon after I the ones I ordered through eBay broke in transit. These are about $2.00 more per bulb but the packaging and return/refund policy on amazon is superior in my opinion.The bulbs are marked near the end "AgroBrite made in China HIGH OUTPUT T5 54W 6400W" so the color temperature is off by 100K from the specs on amazon but I'm not worried about such a small difference. I like that it is labeled with a brand since no names are usually a crap-shoot. I plugged them to a T5 High Output fixture I got from home depot, a simple 2-bulb Lithonia shop light. The bulbs are extremely bright I'll assume they are up to spec because don't have the tools yet to measure the lumens. I will be using these as grow lights with some aluminized mylar to grow some bamboo and trees from seeds.I have 4 bulbs and will use 2 at a time. I will update and let you guys know how they work as a grow light. I will also update when they burn out to let you know if the 20,000-hour rating is about accurate.As of right now I would recommend these for grow lights or for any general lighting.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE:I got the system up and running. It's working so well that I bought another fixture and am running all four bulbs. I have 500 hours out of the first 2. They are pulling on average 52 watts a piece. This may be due to the inexpensive fixture ballast instead of the lights. One of my favorite things about the lights is the fact that they put off relatively little heat, you can touch them while they are running which is great in my opinion. My plants were getting a little leggy but I stopped that by lowering the light. One of my plants actually touched the light and it slowly killed the part that was physically touching the light which was less than 10% of each leaf. As long as the bulb stays about a half inch from the leaves you should be fine. The plants are filing in nicely and I'm burning only a little over 200Watts.For general lighting I would mount them in a fixture that diffuses the light as they can strain the eyes if you look right at them or they are visible in the periphery of your vision.I would still recommend these lights for grow lights or general lighting.

Just a heads up to anyone interested in purchasing these bulbs, my original order came with all 4 bulb boxes opened, and none of the bulbs worked. I requested a replacement set, and when those arrived I found they had the exact same issue. All of the individual bulb boxes were open again, and none of them worked. Save yourself the money and headache and don't bother buying these.

Packaged amazingly, I was worried about shipping, but they did an amazing job. My vegetables are very happy now with the replacement bulbs, would definitely order again! Just did the math and the first bulb I’ve used has only got 4,992 hours, have it on a Kasa timer plug (because there over my kitchen table) ...kinda expected at least around 8,000 or more

Great bulb, but a bit expensive and they don't last the 20 000 hours advertised. For me, the first ones started failing near 8 000 hours and the longest lasting made up to 15 000 hours or so.

Arrived very well packaged, lights are nice and bright, replaced the sunblaster T5 . The hydrofarm bulbs last way longer than the sunblaster, as I've used them before, wont buy any other brand than agrogrow from hydrofarm, well worth the money spent.
