Sturdy
I had to finally replace my old tripod. This product is a great replacement and works well. It is great for cooking over an open fire.

How to set up
I like the tripod. It's strong and durable. My only issue was how to set it up. I had no clue. The tripod does not come with instructions. The pictures on the box and stock photos here aren't clear enough to figure it out. Thank goodness for YouTube. So I wanted to save others the same headaches and included a clear closeup on the top so you can see that two arms cross with the third being your "anchor". Hope this helps someone

A little tricky to get stable but holds up well.
Using this to hold up an on demand water heater while camping. Do need to get the legs stable which can be a little tricky especially on loose ground. Like that it fits in a carry bag and takes up little room.

Easy stable setup but warping grill surface
The media could not be loaded. I loved how easily I set up the tripod. I sorted my chains into 2 bags and labeled them to avoid a tangled mess. The 3 chain section for the grill I separate for storage from the long chain that goes on the leg and through the top 🔺triangle piece.Split log firewood in a # hashtag or log cabin stack worked the best for us to get a good amount heat without the grate being too far up to get heated. (vs a teepee cone shaped firewood placement.)3 challenges:⚙️I found the chain challenging to operate the top piece does not let the chain move freely but needs manual shifting at the top for us. We could not simply adjust the height from the leg tension holder. Maybe a different chain shape would allow more movement. The good news is the chain does not slip or change heights unintentionally making for a steady cooking surface. We were able to use cooking gear and then raise the grate for s’mores which was nice, just harder than expected.🥚🍳 The 3 wires setup is typical but hard to work around when cracking an egg into a hot skillet. My husband was playing dodge the hot chains when try to crack it in.🌊Longterm I’m concerned that grate is warped a little after one camping trip of use. We used a 9” cast iron skillet and a 2 gallon size can cooker but the warping seemed to have happened during the skillet use. We’d been hoping to use this with our cast iron Dutch oven but I don’t think the grate part can support the weight. Will use again for years we hope.

Love it
It works great holding a cauldron. My dogs walk past it and have not knocked it over. I have it for a display and up all the time and its super sturdy

Very sturdy, but stability is an issue.
Fair price. Durable and strong individual components. Chain in online images is longer than what you actually get, but the one provided is long enough. The reason for the lower marks (3s), is because no matter how you interlock the top of the 3 legs (including a shown on the packaging) it does not feel stable and shifts around very easily. For that reason I am having to purchase a tripod table to incorporate into/onto the legs to prevent it from shifting when I have a full pot of food on the fire. If there is a perfect way to stabilize this tripod, it is not represented anywhere on the packaging and no paperwork was provided for specific guidance. An additional note for the manufacturer. My product was received in an Amazon box with absolutely no damage to the outside. However, 1) the product box inside was damaged, 2) the tripod was not inserted completely into the canvas bag which left about 6-8 inches of bag to just be jammed into the bottom of the box resulting in 3) the end of the box bulging out. It was taped in this position at the time of manufacture. Looks like a quality control issue. Pictures above.

This has no right being this good!
My girlfriend bought a Solo Stove for camping, but we always plan our meals around cooking over a fire, and we refused to spend hundreds of dollars on the Solo Stove cooking attachment. After a looking at several options I decided to take a flyer on this cheap solution; thinking if it didn't work, it was cheap enough to toss and try something else. We are blown away how well this worked! No, it doesn't come with a bag. Yes, I wish it did. But it never said that it does so I can't reduce the stars for not providing something that wasn't promised. It's super lightweight, set up is a breeze, and it worked perfectly to cook beer brats (not shown) and a cast iron pizza. Adjusting the height isn't super fluid while cooking, but it absolutely locks into position once set and there was no fear of it falling or slipping even with a 10" cast iron skillet on the grate. There will be a ton of soot on the legs and grate when you tear it down, so be prepared. We simply waited until it was cool, collapsed the legs, and placed it in a trash bag for transport. We'll be using this for every meal, during every trip, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a way to do campfire cooking when a grate isn't available.

excelente producto
