I used this fixture to replace an existing bare 150 watt equivalent LED light bulb at the bottom of my basement steps to reduce the "glare." The opaque lens covering and low silhouette did exactly that, very bright light, but not in your face. In addition, this flush mount ceiling light was very easy to install and connect to the existing electrical box. The connecting wires are only 18 gauge, but that is not a problem since the current needed to power the LEDs is so low (~0.15 amps). Best of all, the price is very reasonable for such an efficient and bright light compared to similar light fixtures at the big box stores.

Nice and bright

Extremely easy to install, any amateur can do it. Just unplug 2 wires from the old lamp and insert them into the tab locking wire case provided with the unit and its done! I had a short at the case of the physical switch on the wall, so after i fixed that this light is a very nice upgrade. Much brighter than expected. Cant go wrong

My office has a window, but is often not bright enough, I tried adding stronger LED light bulbs to the old ceiling fixture, but realized the whole thing was too old and had to be replaced. But this light blew me away. It is almost like being outside in the sun, almost too bright, the reason for 4 of 5 stars. I would like to have a dimmer. Another reason I wanted to write is someone said this was hard to install, it is not, but you need to be familiar with ceiling lights. No one unfamiliar with electricity should do any electrical work. The bracket is easily attached to a standard ceiling fixture with the same two screws any ceiling fixture uses. The light requires only two single wires rather than the normal grounded third wire, and these are just pushed into a socket on the fixture and secured with by closing a tab. you then just push the fixture into the bracket and it is attached. I have to say, I thought it was too bright at first, and ordered a warmer color, but now I think I will keep it the way it is...

UPDATE: This burned out within 3 months, I'm changing my review to 1 star. My original review is below. ORIGINAL REVIEW (pointless for a product that died so quickly) I really liked this light, but first a quick warning - it has no screw terminals for wiring, only push-connectors. If you have stranded wire, you'll need to tin the end or crimp on a post. It's fast and easy with great results but don't get surprised. I have stranded wire and tinned the ends with my soldering iron in a minute or two and it worked beautifully. This is a great light packing clean, bright, glare free light into a compact package with an installation method that's versatile and efficient. A metal bracket on the back of the light releases with a recessed spring clip so you screw the bracket to the wall/ceiling and then just clip the light to it. It attaches firmly and securely with no wiggle but can be removed if you ever need to (like for painting). I also liked how compact this is, it's small enough to fit inside my 16" circular fluorescent fixture so when the ballast wore out I removed the ballast and bulb and installed this inside. The fixture still matches the others in my house but now it's LED for more light with less electricity and no mercury filled glass bulbs! I'm very happy with the 2 I bought and will buy more against the day when my other circular florescent lights start to go. UPDATE: No, I won't, this burned out so fast I will chose a different brand!

Some of the easiest lights I've installed so far. Very accommodating in older homes where things may have been built differently than they are now. This light is plenty bright for a normal sized bedroom. I also put two of these lights in what used to be the chappel and a third light at the back end of the old chappel. The two in the chappel are border line sufficient and the third makes is acceptable. There is another spot that wiring is in place to mount another one, which I may do down the road. I think for now the two lights in the main area will work unless I am doing a puzzle or something that requires brighter light. The old chappel measures about 30' x 30'
