You have to baby the gaskets to put it in. I failed to do that and broke them. It costed me 40 bucks to buy new ones and they only sell one kind of gasket for the headers. And I highly suggest taking your studs out. But they fit like a glove on my 1994 Toyota pickup with extra cab

Got these for a “steal” on here; don’t know if it was a glitch in the system or what but they came up for a 1/4 of what they normally sell for.Realistically, performance and 3VZE aren’t used in the same sentence, but this is one of the few items that can help that engine.They lost one star due to fitment issues during the install: the holes for the manifold studs were not quite right. Required wallowing the holes to have them fit the stud locations. Also, the passenger side header required trimming to clear the power steering bracket.

Clamp together pipes leak and the clamps will break if you try tightening them to seal things up better. Plan on doing some welding or having it welded. Good quality material. Much better performance. My 3.slow Toyota 4Runner likes to rev now.

Headers arrived well packaged, but that's about the only good I can say about them. Driver side installed effortlessly, but passenger side rested with firm contact against both the starter and passenger foot area of the body. I called Thorley customer service and their only (yes, there is only one) customer service individual argued with me on the phone on two occasions that their headers are "welded on a jig, and always fit". Well, telling me that doesn't change what I'm looking at under the hood, buddy. A second person at Thorley was also unable and unwilling to help me, before finally reaching a third person who was able to ship me a replacement passenger side unit. The replacement fits marginally better, which tells me two things: their fabrication tolerances vary by at least that much, and their design is poor because it still does not fit properly despite being different from the first unit. Furthermore, the instructions that arrived in the box differed from the instructions printed on the packaging material, several times stating opposite instructions, ex, "Be sure to use silicone" and "DO NOT use silicone" both being present. Torque specifications were also in disagreement with each other in different parts of the instructions.

Worked well on my 1989 Toyota 4x4 pick-up. The slide on pipes performed better than I expected. Very satisfied overall.

Quality parts , heavy walled tubes, welds looks good flanges are straight. Still the price seems a bit excessive even with all that considered, but there isn't many options if you want to get rid of the dumb factory set up . I am doing a rebuild on this engine and are not completely installed , however I am on yota tech (Y8rodo) and plan to do up a post for the entire experience...
